The witness was driving at night with her son when headlights revealed a large hairy figure by the road. The figure stood on two legs, carried a white object in its hand, and walked then ran on two legs in the direction of travel before leaving the lights into the woods. The witness returned the next day and noted the escape route was uphill and a chicken coop was nearby.

The witness reported being on Pigeon Mountain on the night of September 27, 2011, when he heard a deep growl followed by a long mellow scream unlike familiar local animals. After pulling over, the witness shone a spotlight into the area, saw red-orange eyeshine for several seconds and heard a low grunt before leaving.

Around 2 a.m. in late August 2011, the witness stepped onto his mother's back deck in Paulding County, Georgia to smoke. From the woods behind the house he heard a loud, deep howl repeated several times over about five minutes. Unable to match it to known wildlife or other sources, he went inside frightened and later found online howl recordings he felt matched what he heard.

While walking on a road at night he heard branches breaking and a loud vocalization, then saw a very large dark fur-covered shape between trees on a rock face. The witness was supervising a crew clearing brush under a highway bridge in the morning. The group noticed a strange odor, heard persistent movement and muffled grunts, and watched something peeping from behind a tree. Later a skinned rabbit hung high in a tree disappeared, bare footprints larger than the workers feet were found in mud by a creek, and loud limb-breaking sounds caused the whole crew to flee.

A large hairy creature with reddish-brown hair was partly visible behind the kennel, showing part of its head and a long arm. Something in brush to his left paced him and took an extra step each time he stopped. He drew his revolver and was followed for about half an hour, after which he never returned alone.
