They heard a loud strange vocal sound from about a half mile away that seemed to get louder, with a bird seen flying and swooping just before it. The witness was locking the door after the mother and her friend left for town and saw a tall hairy figure walking through a neighbor's yard. The witness ducked behind the door and the figure was gone when they looked again. Moments later the mother called to say she and her friend had seen a large hairy animal cross the road ahead of their car and step over a metal gate.

The witness and a companion were walking back to a truck during a follow-up visit when they heard repeated loud wood-on-wood knocks coming from near the truck. After waiting and trying their own knocks without response, they heard something run through the woods sounding bipedal at a sprint. Two people driving in a snowy forested area found large bare footprints about 18 inches long along the road. After parking and making loud knocks with logs, they heard a distant bark, human-like whistling from multiple directions, and later fast bipedal footsteps. A companion reported seeing something cross the road during the footsteps and hearing a branch break nearby. Feeling they were being approached, both left the area around 12:30.

The witness was sitting in a tree stand hunting elk in the late afternoon when the wind shifted. He heard brush breaking as an unseen animal approached on a trail, stopped, then circled 50-60 yards away out of sight while emitting repeated loud rising whoops. After the sounds stopped he climbed down, glassed the area without seeing anything, and later left apples on a stump that were gone when he retrieved the stand.

They also reported seeing red reflected eyes spaced a few inches apart. The animal was described as large, but its size could not be judged because of a steep slope, and no tracks or hair were found afterward.

Four telephone-line workers heard ape-like high-pitched sounds while working on an isolated road lined with pines and brush. After the witness mimicked the sounds, a large hairy biped crossed the road about 60-70 yards away and paced back and forth, repeatedly stopping in the road to stare at the witness. The witness described upright human-like walking, long arms at the sides, hips wider than shoulders, and an extremely large foot. The animal eventually left into thick bushes leading to heavy fir.

The witness and his wife were driving in the Greenwater area so the witness could hike up a snowy dirt road to look for sunglasses lost the previous winter. While hiking he found a line of unusually deep footprints with a long uphill stride. At the top where snow had melted, the last print was a clear impression in frozen mud showing five toes, arch and heel. He went back downhill to bring his wife to view the tracks.

The witness was picking brush for sale near an old skid road when he heard loud growls, squeals, and brush breaking. He climbed a side hill and saw a still dark bear draped over a vine maple, then noticed a very large dark-brown biped standing about 50 feet away with its back turned. The creature turned and stared with red glowing eyes, prompting the witness to flee to his truck screaming, after which he refused to return to the woods and his crew left the area.

The witness regularly walked a wooded trail near office buildings during lunch. One afternoon in May 1999 the witness found a young tree freshly snapped off high up and laid across the trail to block it, with no sign of sawing, wind, or vehicle contact. The witness showed the scene to a coworker the next day and cleared the trail, and later wondered whether the damage could be related to Bigfoot. No creature was seen and no footprints or hair were checked.
