Friends of the witness were fishing under a bridge by a nature sanctuary in Midland County and, while leaving for their cars in the dark, one reported seeing red eyes about eight feet up in the trees that appeared to swirl. The other friend suggested a bear. The witness was told about it about a month before the show.

At age sixteen while hunting with his uncle near Holton Lake, the witness walked alone toward his stand and heard heavy footsteps pacing him from a field to his right. The steps did not match his own and were followed by a sniffling sound. He ran to his stand, climbed up, and sat in fear until sunrise without seeing anything.

At about age nine, the witness and his seven-year-old brother were hacking small trees with hatchets near their house when the brother screamed. The witness saw a black hairy creature standing on a hill that cocked its head as if confused, then ran to the side through the woods. Both boys ran screaming back to the house.

Early in the morning while the witness talked on the deck as his coworker friend prepared to hunt in the backwoods, they heard loud chimp-like noises in the trees behind the friend. Shortly after they heard it again to the side, sounding like multiple chimps vocalizing, which the experienced hunter friend could not identify.

During a bonfire with family and coworkers, the nephew carved an X in an apple and threw it into the woods. About 20-25 minutes later dirt seemed thrown over the group from behind, strange noises like a cat being murdered were heard, and the same apple rolled out between a guest's feet.

While standing on a raised deck calling for his dog late in the fall, the witness saw a dark brown figure in profile walk about six feet from right to left between the barn and house addition. It was as tall from the ground as he was on the deck. He went back inside without retrieving the dog.

Recorders captured goat-like and horse-like sounds, breathing and banging on a food barrel, and loud knocks from the woods when people moved between buildings. The witness investigated possible human sources and found one distant caller to exclude, but did not see the source.

A powerful growl was felt in the chest from a distance, followed by two vocalizers calling back and forth while moving away. The exchange lasted many minutes and was partially recorded after the witness restarted equipment.

The witness felt cold then heat, briefly could not move, struck the shape, and heard it walk away bipedally. At the Michigan house the family repeatedly heard knocks, whoops and howls. Around 2-3 AM the father saw a large black figure cross the field and road and called the sheriff. After the sheriff fled and returned with military trucks there was heavy automatic gunfire, and the father and son later found large amounts of blood and bullet-riddled trees.

The witness and his son were rowing across a different lake on the same property around midday when they noticed a white, propane-tank-shaped object sitting on or just above the flat water with no reflection, sound, or wake. They watched it move slowly and silently across the width of the lake until it reached the far shore and disappeared into the heavily wooded shoreline where there is no boat launch or access. The witness said he photographed the object and later shared grayscale and color versions.
