The witness and a child sat in a parked pickup with windows down near a night listening location. After waiting, they heard a prolonged clamor of fighting coyotes uphill with a distinct human- or ape-like yowling mixed in lasting about 45 seconds. The witness believed others near the blasting area recorded the sounds and later said several participants agreed they had heard something other than a known animal.

From the direction of the river, the witness heard scream-like vocalizations while the surroundings were otherwise silent. The witness then went inside to get a relative to listen, but no further sounds were heard.

He described a very stocky figure about six and a half to seven feet tall with dark brown medium-length hair that appeared to flow with movement.

The witness, a water hauler, reported being outside his truck at a work site in the early morning when he smelled a foul odor and saw a very large bipedal figure in the moonlight. The figure reportedly moved around the truck but stayed out of the work lights. The witness hid, then later saw the figure walking away into the dark carrying something. A sour body odor was noticed during the presence, and deer jerky hanging on the front porch was missing the next morning.

The witness and the witness's mother were driving slowly on a mountain road looking for cattle when the witness noticed movement behind pine trees. They stopped and saw a tall reddish-brown figure standing by a tree, which then turned and moved quickly away into thick brush with long hairy arms swinging. Frightened, they turned the truck around and drove quickly back to the house where they told a relative.

After driving away in fear, the witness returned the next day with a co-worker and found widely spaced footprints leading east.

For over an hour, softball-sized rocks were thrown from the treeline at intervals under a minute, striking trees about eight feet up and landing nearby, with no other noise. The witness radioed his brother, who arrived and jointly watched the rock-throwing continue for about 30 minutes. Afterward they searched toward the source but found no tracks due to rocky ground and saw no thrower.
