Daylight sighting while scouting hunting locations near Skibo
The witness and a companion were on foot scouting hunting ground in daylight when the witness noticed a large reddish-brown figure moving in the timber nearby. The witness saw only from the mid-shoulders up for a few seconds before turning toward the companion and looking back to find it gone. The companion did not see the figure but heard movement and footfalls, and a strong musky odor was noticed as the figure moved away.

A witness and a relative were carrying camping gear to canoes in the afternoon when they heard an extremely loud bellow followed by muffled talking-like sounds. The witness retrieved a shotgun and moved toward a river point while the relative watched from the canoes. The witness heard heavy footsteps and brush movement heading toward the rapids but saw nothing, and found dry crossing rocks with no splashing. He concluded whatever made the sounds must have leapt rock to rock to cross.

Two people setting bobcat traps in a secluded mature forest found a section of pine trees twisted and snapped off. Several trees were strewn across and blocked the road they were walking, while others were suspended high off the ground and woven between other trees. The witnesses felt the area was creepy and left after gathering their traps.

While bow hunting in a creek bottom the witness heard an extremely loud deep scream from several hundred yards away, after which a doe ran an odd looping route and bedded down. After dark he heard child-like giggling and overlapping chatter from about 50 yards moving through water and brush deeper into the woods. He waited until it passed, then left with a light on and an arrow nocked.

After resting by day the crew paddled at night back toward base. While shooting the shallow narrow pinch between two lakes a large boxy rock arced high and landed just in front of the lead canoe. The crew paddled to the middle of the lake, tied canoes together, and stayed on the water all night.

On the next night the guide went to gather firewood and heard a very loud scream approaching from thick cover. The screaming repeated about five times close up and about thirteen to fourteen times total, feeling powerful in his chest. He returned to camp where the whole crew had heard it, and they stayed by the fire and slept poorly.

The guide was sleeping alone in a hammock set apart from his crew when he awoke to sobbing sounds and heavy bipedal footsteps moving through camp. A large presence stopped beside his hammock breathing heavily, and when he threw off his tarp his hand struck a tall muscular very hairy chest before the creature fled crashing through thick brush. No tracks were found on hard ground but the path through the brambles was clearly visible.

While working in a national forest around noon in August 2011, the witness heard high-pitched yelps or screams from one direction answered by very low guttural whoops from another direction. The two sets of sounds were described as about a mile apart and about a half mile away, repeating in a call-and-response pattern that sounded like communication. The witness, who described experience with wolves and other wildlife, stated the sounds were not wolves and searched nearby roads by truck without seeing the source.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent when the witness heard loud, heavy bipedal footsteps approaching around 4 a.m. After the witness shouted, something threw a rock at the tent and then walked rapidly away with the same loud steps. The companion heard the rock strike the tent. In the morning the witness could not reproduce the loudness of the steps.

The witness hiked into a remote marsh-edged lake in northern Minnesota to ice fish. He saw a dark head and shoulders rise above tall reeds, disappear, then reappear as two figures watching him silently for about 20 minutes. He walked to the reeds afterward and found no snowmobile tracks or sounds, and later concluded they must have been very tall to be visible above the reeds.

The witness was driving home in the morning and stopped at railroad tracks when he spotted a dark animal sitting about a thousand feet away. He observed it sitting on its haunches for about ten minutes. The animal then stood upright and walked north into the surrounding forest.

A woman driving in the morning stopped with several other motorists to watch a large sasquatch-like figure beside an abandoned trailer home. The figure was described as walking near the trailer and looking in a window. As the witness arrived, it walked across the road in front of the lead car, stepped over a barbed-wire fence, and went into the woods.

The witness and a companion arrived before dawn to hunt at the edge of a large peat bog. They watched three or four bright white basketball-sized lights hover low over the bog, moving in unison in silence. After a few minutes the lights circled, rose, accelerated westward, and left.

The witness was driving east on Highway 169 toward Virginia on a bright Sunday morning when she spotted a large silvery-gray furry creature on a hilltop clearing north of the westbound lanes. The creature walked west toward the woods with a swaggered gait, long strides, swinging long arms and a slightly forward-bent posture, showing a conical head with little or no neck. After a few seconds median trees blocked the view, and the witness continued without turning back. A car stopped on the opposite side appeared to be watching the same thing.

The witness and his companion were driving south in their pickup when they saw a tall, dark-furred creature near the roadside ditch. It crossed the road less than 20 paces in front of them, then leaped the far ditch in a single stride. Both occupants watched it closely in clear daylight and described human-like but non-human movement and musculature.

The witness and a companion were sitting on a porch in clear afternoon light when they saw a tall figure walk across the top of a nearby iron ore hill past a lone tree. They described long limbs, arms swinging with each stride, and a slightly hunched upper back during about 40 seconds of observation. Afterwards they felt no ordinary person could have covered that distance so quickly or appeared so tall at that distance, and concluded they had seen a bigfoot.

The witness was at his cabin getting water on the ice around sunrise in late March. A dark bipedal figure walked along the far shoreline and back into the woods, covering quickly what would take much longer on foot. He watched several minutes but found no tracks because water covered the ice.

The witness and her son were driving at night when the car headlights revealed a large hair-covered creature standing still in the middle of the road. They stopped and watched it for two to three minutes from about 200 feet away while it looked toward the river and never looked at the vehicle. The encounter ended when the witness turned into a nearby driveway and continued to a relative's house.

While scouting for bear season in the same Minnesota swamp area, the witness was pushed from behind into the swamp. Turning, he saw a large but thin, mangy-looking human-like creature moving away 40 to 50 yards distant. As he left, it paralleled him for about a quarter mile, repeatedly stepping toward him then backing away with trembling shoulders and hands, curling its lip and displaying. A week later he returned, found a 14 3/4-inch track showing it had circled him, felt watched, and heard a loud double whistle near the old driveway.
