Near a curve sign, a figure initially mistaken for a trash bag stood on two feet and stepped across the two-lane road in front of the vehicle. The figure then stepped over a guardrail and disappeared down the mountainside toward the river. The witness drove to the top, returned to the spot to look again, and saw nothing.

A couple at their rural wooded home heard loud long guttural man-like yells almost nightly for several weeks in March 2012, usually around dusk. On March 31 the sounds seemed very close past the fence and suggested two individuals yelling, and on another night a growl from the same area frightened livestock. The sounds stopped for about a month and then resumed.

The witness looked up into bamboo and saw a dark furry creature squatting and stripping leaves with its hands to eat. After a brief mutual stare, both fled in opposite directions.

Late one evening in April 2011 the witness returned home from dinner next door and walked toward the unfinished garage addition. He saw a very tall dark figure standing behind his SUV at the garage entrance for a few seconds before running back inside for a gun. He and a relative searched the yard and found no one, but noticed several very large wet footprints on the concrete with a wide stride.

He said the sound was unlike any owl or other woods or river sound he knew and it frightened him into quickly carrying the canoe up a steep hill to his car. He later noted the whoops sounded like examples on a Bigfoot website and said researchers told him they had no one working that area at the time.

From a sixth-floor hotel balcony before dawn, the witness watched a tall hair-covered biped for five to six minutes at a distance. The being stared, rocked side to side, and repeatedly leaned to pull bark from a large pine tree. Afterward the witness fetched security and later returned in daylight to find fresh bark, deep ground indentations, and possible scat.

After lying back down, the witness heard loud howls from outside that continued intermittently until dawn. Three people camped in a remote area and did a live broadcast after one of them made calls. They noticed dark shapes near the campfire and vehicles, then realized a very tall creature stood about ten feet away staring at the closest person.
