In 1985 the witness and a companion were remote camping near Patrick Creek when they heard loud primate-like screams and conversational voices from a nearby ridge around 11 p.m. During the night the witness heard heavy tramping and deep breathing just outside the tent while a normally bold dog hid trembling inside. At dawn the witness found the campsite duff heavily scuffed with signs of foot traffic that had not been there the previous evening.

The witness was sleeping on a river beach with companions and woke past midnight. Across the river in bright moonlight the witness saw a large bipedal creature shaking a big pine tree, then running in an arc into the woods. The next morning the witness and a companion found large four-toed tracks in the sand where the creature had run.

The witness and a companion were at a house overlooking a river when they heard loud crashing from the forest across the river. They then heard vocalizations that began as grunting and a deep loud moo-like sound and rose into a very loud high-pitched scream. After vocalizing, the unseen source moved rapidly inland through the forest until its footsteps could no longer be heard. The witness concluded the sounds were made by a Bigfoot, noting the speed and distance covered did not match a cow.

The witness and a friend hiked into high meadows and noticed an unusually tall figure at a distance. At dusk on the way out they saw movement pacing in front of bushes and approached while calling out. Between two overlapping bushes they saw two upright hair-covered beings facing them in defensive postures. They backed away out of sight, then ran down the trail to their motorcycle and drove out.

The witness was camping in a remote area near Yosemite, sleeping in a tent set apart from companions' tents. Very late at night while drifting toward sleep, the witness heard heavy footsteps moving around the tent and became frightened. The witness ran to a companion's tent; the companions reported hearing nothing, and the night was noted as unusually quiet with no crickets. No visual observation was made.

A local newspaper reportedly published an article about footprints found in the Anza area near Bautista Road. The current author did not claim to have seen the footprints directly but referenced the article. No date, discoverer, or description of the prints beyond their location is provided.

A resident went to the outhouse around 2 or 3 in the morning and heard something very large moving on two legs through dense brush toward him. The creature made deep guttural grunts that sounded aggressive and left the resident feeling severely threatened. The resident ran back to the house while hearing it follow below the trail.

The witness and two companions were camped by a remote lake after dusk when they noticed amber eyes in the woods up the hill. After rocks were thrown, the animal stood and moved toward them on two legs, then circled their camp for about three hours while staying outside the firelight. The witness described it as 7 to 8 feet tall, agile on two legs, and curious rather than aggressive, and it left after fuel thrown on the fire made a flare. No tracks or other sign were found the next morning.

While on a family houseboat trip, the witness walked up a creek bed and found two sizes of bare human-like five-toed tracks that crossed sharp rocks and entered the woods. That night while sleeping atop the beached houseboat with a relative, both heard two loud distant resonant screams that rose high then dropped into a gargle-growl. The relative also later reported hearing heavy footsteps, breathing and grunting along the shore before dawn.

The witness and two companions were fishing on a lake at dusk when they heard a loud scream from across the lake in the forested mountains. No people or animals were visible in the area. About a minute later they heard the same scream a second time. Frightened, they reeled in their lines and ran back to the nearby resort without stopping.

The witness was hiking alone and stopped to rest on a rock ledge overlooking a meadow. An orange-haired bipedal creature emerged from the treeline and foraged on plants for about ten minutes while approaching. After the witness greeted it, the creature stared, then walked away while keeping its eyes on the witness, briefly raising its hand when asked to stay.

Four people slept in an old hunting trailer after deer hunting. In the middle of the night something lifted the hitched back end a foot or two and dropped it, jolting everyone awake. The witness heard movement and objects being knocked over outside, while the father stopped an uncle from going outside and insisted they go back to bed, later dismissing it as a bear.
Friends have night sighting above Sonora
Two men returned at night to a fenced rural property above Sonora after viewing a motorcycle for sale. A tall, wide human-like figure stepped from brush a short distance away, looked at them, then crossed the clearing toward a shed in a few strides while making a huff sound. One man got into their truck while the other backed onto the hood with a knife, and they later spent a sleepless night guarding the cabin door.
Runner Hears Unusual Whistle Near Woodsford
The witness was walking cross-country between two lakes when a loud two-tone whistle came from ground level behind to the left. The witness called out, whistled back, and searched the thick brush to within about 10 feet of the source but saw no people, animals, or birds. The source of the sound remained unidentified.
Sasquatch sighting near Wairika, California (1983)
In the summer of 1983 six children split into two teams for a hide-and-seek war game on school grounds at night. Three hairy bipedal figures emerged from shadows by storage sheds, walked past one team and over or around a tall chain link fence. Moments later the teller confronted one at ten to twelve feet, saw hair and build, yelled and watched all three leap away across the field while glancing back.
Man has sighting after massive landslide on Highway 50
The witness was traveling by truck when a mudslide blocked Highway 50 and stopped with others to view the slide area. The witness then saw a large dark bipedal figure high on the steep hillside across the river, apparently also looking at the slide. The figure stayed upright for about 15 seconds, appearing to lean on a small tree, then walked uphill out of sight, moving more smoothly than a bear on two legs.

The witness was looking out the living-room window toward the woods from home when a large hairy bipedal figure appeared about 25 feet away. The figure stepped between two trees, stood staring at the witness for several minutes, then turned and walked back into the woods. The witness later told a parent, who suggested a bear, but the witness maintains the figure moved entirely on two feet.
Evening road crossing sighting near Lewiston (Hwy 299)
A couple driving at night braked as a large dark hair-covered biped crossed the road in front of their car. The wife described it as 6 to 7 feet tall, very thick, with exaggerated arms, moving unhurriedly toward Lewiston Lake. Her husband, who was driving, backed up to look around afterward but has since refused to discuss the incident.

The witness was walking north along a highway in daylight when he noticed a tall, hairy figure standing in brush across the road. They looked at each other for less than a minute and the witness did not feel threatened. When he glanced toward a relative's driveway and looked back, the figure was gone.
