Former Michigan native recalls possible activity near National City
When the witness was about nine, she was walking with an older neighbor girl in the back portion of family property. Something nearby growled loudly at them, and after they walked about 200 feet into the front pasture it growled and shrieked again. The companion looked, exclaimed, then grabbed the witness and ran with her to the house. The witness never learned what the companion may have seen, and the companion never walked there with her again.
Memory told of a possible daylight sighting while driving deer on a farm east of Iron River
In the late 1960s, the witness was stationed at a fence corner during a family deer drive on fenced farm land. He reported seeing a large hairy figure step over a four-foot barbed-wire fence from the west and then over a second fence to the north. The rest of the hunting party later emerged from the woods behind it, and the witness maintained the same account into adulthood.
Possible daylight sighting by a mountain biker in the Pere Marquette State Forest
The witness was mountain biking on a game trail in thick forest when he stopped in a clear-cut opening to repair a flat front tire. A loud thump came from a burnt-out RV about 50-60 yards away, and he saw a large jet-black furred head appear in a broken window about six feet off the ground. The head tilted slowly to the side as he remounted his bike, and he rode back to his cabin using GPS. He reported smelling a pungent odor at the site and again outside his cabin the next morning, which he interpreted as the animal having followed him.

The witness and companions were driving through farm fields shining a spotlight for deer in the evening. The light revealed two large black standing figures with bright red reflective eyes that blinked but did not move. After watching for several minutes the witness felt uneasy and left the area. No deer were seen that night, which was considered unusual.

As children playing in a cedar swamp, the witness and two friends surprised a roughly six-foot, rusty-brown-haired creature sitting by a creek. They watched for about ten seconds as it stood about 70 feet away and walked gracefully deeper into the swamp. Afterward they went to the spot, found the stump warm to the touch and the ground disturbed, but no clear tracks.

A driver and passenger stopped on a dirt road through woods when several large dogs crossed in front of the car and trotted toward a dark object in a field. The object stood up as a very tall, bulky, dark-gray hair-covered figure with long arms and no visible neck, which the dogs greeted excitedly. The figure then moved quickly into the adjacent woods with long bent-legged strides and exaggerated arm swings while both occupants watched in shock without speaking.

The witness was awake alone on the living room couch late at night while younger siblings slept. A very loud, close howling scream outside the window shifted into a gurgling laugh-like sound lasting about 10 seconds and did not repeat. After waiting, the witness searched outside in fresh snow but found the snow totally undisturbed with no tracks to indicate the source.

Early in the morning before hunting, the witness and a companion heard loud chimp-like calls behind them and then again to the side sounding like multiple animals. On another night with night vision, they saw three pairs of eyes peeking over a woodpile.

Coming home near dawn, the witness glimpsed a figure running through the yard toward the barn and found footprints. The trackway went around the barn, through the backyard, over a hot tub, around the house and over a propane tank where it disappeared.

During a bonfire with several visitors, a carved apple was thrown into the woods. About twenty minutes later dirt seemed thrown over the group from behind, distressed cat-like cries were heard, and the same apple rolled out between a visitor's feet.

At night at the current home, the witness called for the dog from the raised deck and saw a dark brown figure walk from between the barn and the house addition. Only a profile was seen, standing as tall from the ground as the witness on the deck. The witness went inside without retrieving the dog.

At the current wooded home, the witness hears a cork-popping sound and later a wailing sound followed by branches scraping the barn. The dog fled back to the deck. In daylight large tracks about 18 inches were found leading from the road by the mailbox around the property to the barn.

While scouting a reputed haunted road the witness saw a brown figure watching from brush and later found unexplained scratches on his shoulder. The next night during a Halloween broadcast the group saw moving shadows, heard talking, and recorded a white light hovering over the trail. A partner who approached the light reported being pushed backward.

While recounting the trip at home late at night the witness saw the same face pressing into the patio screen about eight and a half feet up. He waved and it stepped back. Next morning he found large footprints in the garden and photographed them.

After shouting a challenge he heard a loud crashing bluff, later finding snapped sticks. On the walk out they heard escorts, saw smooth-moving figures on a ridge, and saw a basketball-sized light crash with nothing found.

While checking a preserve for activity the group saw red and green softball-sized lights and a baseball-sized white light on the trail. When the partner walked to where the white light had been, the witness perceived a spinning vortex-like blur around him. The partner reported feeling warmer despite freezing temperatures.

During a live broadcast that required frequent phone resets, the group heard knocks and whoops timed to the resets. A loud deep voice said hello twice. When the witness and his partner separately approached the sound source in dense brush, each was met with a deep chest growl.

Alone on a full-moon night the witness heard whoops from two directions, then alternating knocks and thumps for over an hour. Loud chatter erupted from behind the car in the swamp, followed by a tree fall and final whoop. Next day a fresh snapped tree and viewing window in brush were found.
