The witness and a companion were four-wheeling late at night when their headlights caught a shaggy red-haired creature in the road. It had apparently been squatting in the road, then moved quickly across on all fours while starting to straighten toward two legs before leaving the light. Both witnesses felt it was not a bear, cat, or other known animal due to its color, narrow torso, and human-like body shape.

A woman hunting with her husband from under pine trees across a meadow noticed a dark figure that had not been there minutes earlier. Late at night while sleeping on sand bars beside the river with a companion, the witness was awakened by limping bipedal footsteps moving on the slope above. A flashlight revealed nothing and the steps resumed, approaching close before loud guttural yelps and moaning described as a cry for help were heard. After remaining awake and still for an extended period the witnesses fell asleep, later heard a large splash in the river, and found no tracks in the morning.

A young woman riding a horse home through a dry riverbed in the late afternoon encountered a hairy biped near trees. Her horse refused to go forward, and she saw the creature standing and walking parallel about 75 to 100 yards away. They looked at each other for just under a minute before it turned and left into dense brush walking then crouching.
Loud 'whoop' vocalizations heard
The witness and companions were setting off bottle rockets with loud music playing near a river late at night. They heard repeated rising whoop vocalizations that seemed about a mile away and grew louder as they continued. The surrounding forest was described as unusually quiet. Frightened, the group left the area immediately.

While packing to leave for a motel, the wife saw a huge hairy figure that had been crouched by a tree stand, turn, and walk away silently. They drove to the valley that night and returned in daylight to find the branch it stood under was well above the witness's reach, convincing them it was not a bear but a Sasquatch that had ransacked the camp.

They saw a tall black figure crouched behind the car, illuminated it, watched it stand and then disappear near a fence. They smelled a strong musky odor and then saw a tall, hairy biped standing about 25 yards upslope. The creature walked up and over the hill on two feet while the men felt unable to move, after which they walked back in silence to their third companion.

Two witnesses driving at night saw a large fur-covered animal cross the highway in front of their car and climb a steep bank into the forest. They returned in daylight and found large deep footprints in snow, which they photographed and displayed with a written account. While mountain biking, the witness heard a large animal moving in brush off the trail but could not see it. About 200 yards farther up the trail, the group found very large detailed footprints overlying companions' tracks, which left the trail for a meadow and reappeared crossing the road about half a mile farther on. Coincidentally encountered bear hunters also examined the prints and were unfamiliar with them.
