Possible nighttime encounter while camping at Shi Shi Beach
Three backpackers sleeping on a beach woke around 3:45 a.m. when their dog ran to a nearby ridge and grappled with something. The witness ran over and saw an enormous figure in the dark that stayed silent when challenged. A companion later saw a torso-like figure put a hand on a rock at the top of the ridge and disappear, and reported an elk-like moaning sound during the struggle.
Howl near Woodland, Washington (2010)
On his last night of work in 2010, the guest parked at his rented room on his boss's wooded property around 1 a.m. Birds erupted, then a loud rising howl-scream vibrated his car and silenced frogs and birds. He then heard movement and large rocks clashing in a ravine before running to the house and telling his boss he thought a Sasquatch was in the backyard.

The witness was camping on owned property along the river [name withheld] the dogs stayed agitated overnight. The next morning a line of prints was found in mud by the river that appeared to come out of the water and go back in downstream. The witness photographed the prints and made a plaster cast, reporting them at about 13 by 4 inches.
Man and granddaughter hear possible vocals of two creatures approaching them near Ashford
The witness and a young relative were on foot exploring an area of older reported sightings. They heard knocking sounds followed by loud screaming from two unseen sources in dense brush that seemed to move toward them. The witness hid hoping to photograph the sources, but noise caused the sounds to stop and move away. No creatures were seen, and a search found only flattened grass and broken branches.
Daylight encounter while hiking on the Tulalip Indian Reservation
The witness was hiking on a logging road after riding a bike when they heard a branch snap, brush crashing, and a loud strike like wood on wood. A rock was then thrown from bushes, and the witness saw a hand and a muscular, dark brown, approximately 6-foot figure facing away with a V-shaped tuft of hair on top. The witness shouted at the figure, which remained still facing away, then left the area the way they came.

The witness was awakened at home around 4 a.m. by a nearby growling sound and repeated wood-on-tree-like knocks spaced a few seconds apart. House cats reacted defensively during the sounds, which lasted a couple minutes before everything went quiet. The witness wondered whether the sounds were made by a walking creature, human or otherwise.
Hikers near Eatonville surprise a sasquatch drinking from the river
The witness and two companions were hiking to a waterfall when they noticed a strong musky odor. Near the middle fall they saw a large dark furred creature crouched over the river as if drinking. After staring at them briefly it made a throat-clearing sound and walked away bipedally into the trees, pausing to look back.

The witness was awakened at home in the early morning by very loud, deep screams from very close outside. The sounds shifted toward the woods and continued as back-and-forth exchanges between two sources, including grunts, barks, cries and shorter screams over many minutes. The witness's three dogs cowered by the door rather than chasing, and the sounds eventually receded north into the woods until they stopped.
Scream in Washington (2010)
During a BFRO trip to Bumping Lake with a friend, the guest was woken around 3:30 a.m. by loud bellowing screams. A hand pushed and swished across the tent near his face and knocked back when he hit the fabric, then walked away. At daylight he found a woven-tree shelter overlooking camps and on exit found the road blocked by three pushed-over trees.

After moving to the property the household repeatedly heard tapping on glass and slaps on the exterior walls, but found nothing when checking with a spotlight. Chairs left outside were found turned upside down in the morning. Strange whoop-like sounds were also heard from across the canyon and were initially attributed to bears or people.

The witness and a companion stopped at a canyon viewpoint to photograph the sunset. From the forested canyon along the river below, they heard a loud whooping vocalization they could not identify at the time. Two weeks later the witness heard a similar sound in an online video and concluded it matched.
Two hunters are followed by an unseen creature near Toutle
The witness and a companion walked in on a gated logging road for an evening elk hunt and heard something pacing them in the woods. After they stopped at the end of a side road, the witness heard a deep low growl from nearby brush without seeing the source. After waiting until dark for two companions, the pair walked out back-to-back while loud walking and brush sounds paced them for about a half mile to the truck.
Backpacker hears multiple vocalizations while camping near Trout Lake
The witness was camped alone on the second night of a three-day backpacking trip in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. At about 2:30 a.m. he was awakened by three consecutive whooping yells followed by a loud three-second guttural scream from up the valley. He then heard very faint distant answering calls or howling. He stayed awake for a couple more hours and heard nothing further.

While hunting on a ridge above a swampy sanctuary area the group repeatedly heard whooping sounds from below. The sounds seemed to come from something small and were unfamiliar to the lifelong hunters. Other unexplained noises were also heard during the same hunt.

Months later during elk season the witness and two companions met after one found a large bare footprint in wet sand in a remote draw by a creek. They compared boots to the print and noted clear toes and a push-off shape, estimating it at about fourteen to fifteen inches long. They felt no one would walk barefoot there and had never seen a print like it.
Man sees large, hair-covered figure while riding on train near the Cascade Tunnel
The witness was traveling west on the Empire Builder passenger train on a clear morning after it exited the Cascade Tunnel. From a sleeper compartment he briefly saw a very large black-haired figure standing on a steep forested slope above the tracks with one hand on a tree, appearing to watch the train pass. His wife was seated across from him facing the opposite direction and did not see the figure. He estimated the figure at 8 to 9 feet tall and about 400 pounds, but could not discern facial details in the two-second glimpse.
Hikers have strange encounters and find human-like footprints in Buckhorn Wilderness
The witness was backpacking and camping with friends at a small alpine lake. Late at night two campers heard something moving on rocks by the lake and then something hit their tent. The next morning they found 6-7 human-like footprints where the movement had been heard, sunk much deeper than the witness's own print, and photographed them.

Late at night the witness went onto an elevated deck after hearing brush noise and animal sounds. Something heavy walked up a ground-level dock and stopped directly beneath the deck. The witness saw only a large dark shape through the boards while it made loud sniffing breaths, then fled back inside.
Rock throwing in Washington (2009)
Later that same night the witness lay awake in his sleeping bag feeling watched though hearing and seeing nothing at first. He then heard an object strike branches in the air before a large thump landed near his camp. In the morning he found a smooth river rock about 18 inches across where no such rocks should occur, which he interpreted as thrown.
Sasquatch sighting in Washington (2009)
The witness was scouting a creek in full camouflage on a summer afternoon when he walked to within about 20 to 30 feet of what he first took for a broken tree stump. The shape turned, revealing a tall, dark-haired bipedal creature that locked eyes with him for about 15 to 20 seconds while both froze. The creature then turned its torso and legs separately and went up an 8-foot vertical road bank in one motion, crashing through timber out of sight.
