The witness was playing with toys on the floor inside a relative's home with the front door open and a screen door closed. A small reddish-brown furry biped stood on the porch beyond the screen watching, and the witness approached very close for about half a minute before leaving to fetch an adult relative. When they returned the creature was gone, and a toy left outside the next day was never seen again.

It stood and crossed the road between the lead and middle cars, then stopped in a drainage ditch on the right where it was watched in headlights for about a minute. The witness was alone at home at night when he noticed a large figure standing outside a window and appearing to peer in through sheer curtains. The figure stayed motionless and silent while the witness watched its bulk, stooped posture, one clenched hand, and eyes. After several minutes the witness went to get a rifle and upon returning the figure was gone. A search the next day found no evidence.

The witness, then about 11, went with his father to a surveyor's home in deep East Texas and followed the surveyor's young son down a thin trail behind the house to a deadfall. The son gave whooping calls, after which the witness heard approaching footsteps, heavy breathing like a horse, a deep word-like vocalization and a powerful percussive sound, then breaking limbs. The witness fled back to the house as a tall dark figure ran alongside through the brush, stopping when he screamed for his father.

The witness and the figure reportedly observed each other for about 20 minutes before the figure turned and walked slowly along the lake bank toward the treeline. The witness did not approach or search for tracks and left for their truck after it disappeared.

As children playing in a wooded area, the witness and a cousin were standing by a pond when the witness noticed a black hairy creature standing in the woods watching them. After showing it to the cousin, both children ran away. The witness told parents afterward and never saw the creature again.

As children playing at the grandmother's house, the witness and four other children noticed what looked like a bush in a pasture where none should be. It stood up and walked toward the river direction. They ran inside to tell the grandmother.

He approached slowly to about 30 yards, when it jumped up onto two legs and left very quickly. He first thought of an escaped gorilla, found mashed-down grass where it lay, and continued hunting.

Two people driving on a gravel road at night saw a tall gray-haired biped cross the road in front of their car and step over a barbed-wire fence. The animal moved slowly and showed no reaction to the vehicle. After driving on, the pair got stuck turning around in a wheat field, then drove back past the site without seeing the creature again.
