The group sat back-to-back through the night and left the next day without discussing it.

The witness and his wife were going to sleep when they heard loud repeated screams from the cul-de-sac and greenbelt below the house. The witness ran down to the area but found no cars or people, and the sounds stopped after 4 to 5 minutes. Police arrived, flashed lights around, and said they would check the area.

The companions did not see the figures, and the witness later mentioned the sighting to a ranger while leaving the area.
Large truck halts in front of sasquatch on I-84
Around Christmas 1985 a driver was hauling east over Cabbage Hill on I-84 around 1:30 a.m. when a blondish-brown human-like creature crossed in front of the truck. He stopped with it in his headlights about two feet away and watched it for about a minute. It slapped the hood with both hands and then walked and jogged away into the woods, while his co-driver woke only in time to see it leaving.

He saw a hairy bipedal creature walking quickly away, using the relative's size for comparison. Two people coasting downhill on a motor scooter stopped at a clearcut to look at the view on a clear afternoon. They saw a large brown biped rise from the grass about 100 yards away and walk along the treeline, glancing at them before stepping up a bank into the forest. After waiting about 15 minutes they inspected the area and found a matted grass circle and large footprints leading away.

In 1984 two teenage companions were hanging out near a river swimming area under a bridge before dusk when they both noticed a tall, dark, hair-covered human-like figure running between trees on the far side of the river. Roughly thirty minutes later they heard the same sound again from very close range, describing strong vibrations and intense fear. They left immediately without seeing the source, which the reporter later came to believe was Bigfoot.

Three people had laid out sleeping bags for the night at Kitson Springs when they heard rustling, loud stomping, and prolonged shrieking and howling nearby. They did not see the source and remained still while the sounds continued and then moved up a hillside into the distance. In the morning they made only a brief check and reported no tracks.

The witness was elk hunting alone and stopped by a creek to eat while watching a power-line clearcut. He saw a large dark upright figure cross the clearing, then watched it again through a rifle scope and described a tall hairy human-like animal. It crossed a third time with a smaller half-size companion, and both disappeared into the forest. The witness returned to camp and left the area with his companion the next morning, cutting the trip short.

The witness returned with a companion to collect previously cut poles at the end of a logging road. After about 20 minutes they heard something breaking limbs while approaching from the ridge and retreated to the truck. When the witness stepped toward a large fir tree, an extremely loud guttural roar came from behind it, and both fled leaving tools behind.

While driving to the summit with his wife, the witness noticed a dark figure sitting at the base of a tree that he first mistook for a hunter. The figure stood up, walked across the road behind their vehicle, paused about 30 seconds to look at them, then descended a steep hillside out of sight. The witness estimated it at about 8 feet tall by a nearby tree and described it as massive, dark brown and long-haired with wide shoulders and long arms.

While staying at a farm, two children had a rock tossed at them in a clearing and were herded home by dogs. Over following months they heard screams and knocks, found a large footprint with ridges, a distressed horse, and disturbed hay resembling a nest in the barn loft. In mid-winter the witness saw a curious dark-haired face looking in a basement window, and in spring the father returned from a short walk to grab firearms and forbid solo trips into the woods.

The witness and a young relative rode a horse up a hillside and stopped for cocoa before dusk. The horse reacted fearfully, and the witness saw a large hairy biped about 50 yards away that took a step toward them then turned and walked away. The pair fled with the horse and the witness reported the sighting to a parent after returning.

At age eleven while staying with family friends on a farm, the witness went for an evening walk on a dirt road with an older family friend. After deer burst from nearby woods, a very tall dark bipedal figure roared loudly and charged through brush toward them, causing them to flee to the car and drive away. Wildlife officials later suggested a bear, which both witnesses rejected.

The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.
