On a snowy pre-dawn morning, the witness and his wife returned to his ground blind to look for a deer wounded the prior evening. As snow began, they watched a tall, ape-like, fur-covered biped approach and walk past the blind for about ten minutes before they left quickly through deep snow. The witness estimated its height at 7-8 feet by comparing it to tree limbs relative to his own height.

The witness was deer hunting alone at dusk from a snow-covered cornfield in western Michigan. Feeling watched, he looked behind to the treeline and saw a tall, dark-haired figure watching him from 150-200 yards away. He watched it through his rifle scope for two to three minutes, then became frightened and ran home across the road. The figure showed no aggression and only stood and stared.

He asked the witness's father for a gun and they found leaves torn up and limbs broken where it had plowed through. The grandfather was badly rattled and thereafter always carried a rifle there.

Everyone was asleep when screaming and commotion from the pig pen woke the household. The father went out with a flashlight while the family stayed inside. He found one pig scratched as if something had reached over the pen, and the pigs were soon butchered to avoid another attempt.

The witness was following a companion on a snowmobile off trail at night when a headlight revealed a tall hairy figure standing beside a small cedar tree with a hand on the trunk. The figure turned its head to watch the riders as they passed very close. The witness left quickly with the companion and returned with relatives the next morning, finding large footprints where the figure had stood.
