A few days before the October chum opening, the guest and three others were anchored off Village Island when banging, chirping whistles and a strong stink were noticed. In the spotlight two upright creatures were seen on the beach, one larger in the grass and one smaller below, which crouched and covered their faces. Rifles were aimed but not fired, and the figures later left into the bush, with further eye-shine, scenting sounds, and a tree bent as one departed.

The first guest's friend was asleep in his house on the reservation with the window open on a hot night. He woke to loud breathing outside, saw a large beast standing at the end of the backyard by the mountains, grabbed a rifle and turned on a light, after which it was gone. The next day he and his brother returned with guns and found three large footprints in the backyard.

Co-workers on the same seismic job reported being followed out of the woods by something unseen. They said the presence paced them, stopping when they stopped and making noise as they moved, leaving them frightened. They radioed a bear alert but later said it was not a bear.

Review of old footage later revealed a camouflaged hairy individual moving from center to left behind trees, distinct from another figure recorded at the same time. He describes hairy legs, torso and top of head visible through foliage and considers it a juvenile.

After a cold night sleeping out, the witness walked alone to a field where a large track had been found and sat with his back to the woods. He heard heavy stomps behind him and felt the ground shake, then saw a gray figure behind a tree about 30 feet away that struck the tree and vocalized. He scanned with his phone, noted an old tree break nearby and later heard two large knocks from another direction before returning to camp.

During a short June work trip the witness and two companions placed three apples high at the gifting area with intention. Around 9:30 p.m. they heard three whoops from three different directions, interpreted as acknowledgement. By morning all apples were gone with no cores, skins or residue on the ground.

On the second-to-last night of the expedition the witness slept outside by the campfire while companions slept in a nearby shelter. After waking around dawn he startled something behind him that jumped back and landed, then heard distinct bipedal footsteps walking beside his head. He kept still with eyes nearly closed trying to calm himself, then looked and found nothing there.

An amateur prospector in British Columbia heard a sound and noticed a large hair-covered figure with broad shoulders. The figure turned, showing its face, and fed on berries by bringing branches to its mouth with dexterous lips. Later interpretation described it as tall, robust and long-legged with human-like breasts and feet and an ape-like head.

While fly fishing, the witness saw large brown movement between trees and then found very large flat-footed barefoot tracks with splayed gripping toes and a midfoot bend. He followed them to a creek crossing showing very long strides up a bank. He then heard a deep chickadee-like whistle, answered it, feared it was signaling another individual, and fled.
