The witness and companions drove to a forest road at night and stopped in the vehicle to look around. They reported hearing howls, a whoop and slow knocks, then seeing at least eight pairs of eye shine positioned around the vehicle. The driver then left the area, and the group planned to return with recording equipment.

The witness and a companion camped beside a river and heard loud yelling that dropped into a groan or growl, followed hours later by closer calls, heavy footfalls, rustling on a hillside, and a large splash in the river. They could see nothing by flashlight from their vehicle. Shortly after, occupants of a passing car stopped and said a massive hairy figure had just run across the road in front of them.

Shortly after, a loud impact sounding like a stone hitting the metal guardrail was heard by both, followed by a second strike as she re-entered the vehicle.

In June 2012 the witness was awakened at home by a relative who reported loud whisper-like sounds around the house. The witness then heard the sounds, described as loud whispering resembling unintelligible foreign language or gibberish. The witness checked inside the house with a flashlight to rule out an intruder, after which the sounds stopped and nothing was found.

In the early afternoon the witness and companions were walking down an old logging road when they heard strange whistling, gurgling pig-like sounds and trees shaking nearby. The witness approached to about 30 feet and saw the back of a light beige, clean-haired figure with darker face and hands holding trees, which then struck trees, turned away, and ran off on all fours while whistling continued from across the road. Companions farther away heard the whistles, thuds and thrashing but did not see the figure.

Late at night the witness was unloading a car behind a rural home when owls around the house suddenly went silent and a loud human-like yell came from the woods about a hundred yards away. The sound felt physically powerful and warning, prompting the witness to leave belongings in the car and go inside. The witness later learned the sound matched prolonged screams previously heard by others in the area.

The witness returned to a familiar lakeshore fishing spot with a relative after two prior visits with unexplained sounds. While packing gear to leave, both heard rocks rolling and something large moving across the steep brushy slope behind them, too far up to see. The witness and four companions were pausing in a hay field during a target-practice outing when the witness spotted a large dark figure rising from a blackberry patch. The figure walked across a trail, paused by a fir tree and looked toward the group, then continued into an adjacent field. The group went to the spot, found flattened brush and a bent-grass trail, estimated the figure's height against the tree, took photos, and then heard knocking beats and hooting sounds after birds flushed and dogs barked in the distance.

On the morning of January 22, 2012, the witness looked out at melting snow in the backyard and noticed an unusual straight-line series of marks distinct from ATV tracks and family footprints. The marks ran directly from tree to tree and then toward the property line, with no clear origin behind the property. The witness photographed the trackway and measured consistent long intervals between steps.

While working as a perimeter patrol officer on graveyard shift in 2012, the guest watched a white spiral corkscrew-shaped smoke rise several hundred feet from a hillside for 15-20 minutes on successive nights around 2-3 a.m. On the second night three unmarked black Apache helicopters flew very low over the prison toward the smoke, with the middle one completely silent. He reported it by phone to the supervisor and documented it in the official logbook.

The witness was driving east on a mountain highway near twilight when she saw a tall, dark, upright figure on the roadside about a quarter-mile ahead. As she approached, the figure slipped fluidly down a steep rocky ravine and disappeared. A few miles farther east, she saw a second, slightly smaller dark figure that likewise moved swiftly and smoothly down the slope, shaking small trees as it passed.

Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.

Four friends camped overnight near a river. After a distant yelp, a companion reported seeing a large shape by the river that could not be made out in the dark. Later the two awake witnesses heard a loud knock on a tree near camp and then bipedal footsteps circling the tent, including contact brushing the tent, before the sounds moved away. A daylight check found no tracks.

The witness was riding in a car on LaPush Road in mid-morning when a tall creature crossed the road in front of traffic. The witness described it moving fluidly with a very long stride, clearing the pavement in two to three steps and entering very thick woods. Other drivers also swerved to avoid hitting it.

While camping, the witness walked with a flashlight across a bridge at night and saw a pair of large yellow eyes blocking a gate reflector. After watching eye movements and a dark shape, the witness fled to camp, returned with a companion, and saw the same eyes approaching on another road while the companion saw nothing. The pair searched by vehicle without finding it, and a later site visit involved re-creation measurements.

The witness was sitting alone by a campfire at night while three companions were upstream washing dishes. He saw a dark human-like outline walk quickly down the road past the camp and continue on. Less than a minute later his companions returned together from the same direction, indicating the figure was not one of them.

A family camped at Salmon Meadows near Conconully heard repeated strange howl-like yells from the creek bed below their site in the late afternoon. After going to investigate and finding a young cow near a cattle guard, they heard howls again overnight and in the early morning. The witness sat concealed near a watering hole before sunrise to watch and photograph deer and elk. After about 30 minutes an upright figure appeared over 100 yards away behind a fallen tree, showing its upper body for about 45 seconds before slipping behind a large tree out of view. The witness stayed longer, photographed deer, then inspected the spot and estimated size from the fallen tree but found no tracks.

The witness camped alone on the east side of a small lake after hiking in about three miles. Around 1 a.m. while stoking his campfire he heard loud wood knocks approaching from the hill and loud vocalizations from the opposite shore about 100 yards away. The source also threw sticks toward his camp. After he fired a rifle shot into the air the sounds stopped, and he remained at camp until the next afternoon before hiking out.
