Teens find footprint in swampy ground near Interlochen
The witness and companions were exploring near woods and swamp when the witness noticed a very large human-like bare footprint in snow near a companion's boot. They found a second similar right-foot print nearby but no left-foot prints despite searching a wide area. No photos were taken and the site was not revisited.

Once downwind it gave an ear-ringing scream followed by grunts for about two minutes, then left into very thick cover. The witness was preparing to bathe at home in the evening when she noticed a tall, dark, shaggy figure standing only feet from the bathroom window. Its head and shoulders filled much of a window set about six feet off the ground, though its face could not be seen clearly. Frightened by the encounter, she later removed the window and plastered over the opening.

He searched outside with a flashlight and rifle but saw no one, noting no trees were close enough to hit the cabin and the access gate remained locked. In the fall of 1982 the witness was driving at dusk and noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing at the edge of the road. She slowed and observed it for several seconds, noting its long arms, dark face and red-glowing eyes. The figure then jumped quickly into a nearby swamp as she drove away.

As an eighth-grader, the witness walked alone late at night along a familiar wooded shortcut toward home. In pitch darkness he heard an extremely loud, high-pitched scream from about 20 to 30 feet directly ahead, followed by loud crashing as the unseen source moved rapidly downhill toward a lake. He fled home at full speed and never saw what made the sounds.

Three people camped without tents in woods near Traverse City. During the night they heard movement around camp and sounds of something disturbing the vehicle, but waited until daylight to check. In the morning they found ferns flattened in a circle around the camp and very large footprints on a sandy road and by a creek, which the witness believes was a Bigfoot.

Two young family members went to the barn after dark to check animals and one touched fur in the dark and then saw a tall furry biped with red eyes. The creature followed as they left the barn without harming them. An older relative then confronted it with a shotgun, fired in the air, and it ran into the woods making a noise.

The passenger described a close, brief view in the headlights as the animal passed the van and left the roadway in a few steps. An oncoming vehicle left the road into a ditch during the encounter. The witness and a companion were bass fishing from a boat on Fletcher Pond around midnight on a full-moon night. They heard a loud roar from the dark shoreline and seconds later something splashed into the water very close to the boat. Startled, they started the motor and returned to the lodge without seeing the source.

The witness and a companion were walking through an overgrown orchard near the witness's home in late afternoon when they heard a loud stomping sound nearby. They then saw the partial rear view of a large upright hair-covered animal moving away into dense brush while making a guttural sound, and both fled to the house. Deep ground impressions, broken trees, and loud screams were also noted around the time of the encounter.

The witness was bow-hunting deer alone from a makeshift blind at a clearing near a power-line cut. From inside the woods he heard loud branch and log breaking sounds together with strange slurred chatter-like vocalizations lasting a few minutes, then silence.
