A tall black hairy biped with a very human face appeared nearby, stared, roared, and exchanged whistles with another unseen individual. The witness fled to a truck, fired a warning shot that struck bark near its face, and saw a second creature on the logging road while driving away.

The witness arrived late for an evening deer hunt and climbed a stand. A doe bedded under the stand, then a tall black creature jumped about 20 feet between trees and stared with intense eye contact. After he aimed his scoped rifle it growled, beat a tree, exchanged whistles with another unseen mover, and he fled half a mile to his truck. He fired a warning shot, drove away as a hand reached for the tailgate, and saw a second creature in the mirror.

The witness went to check another stand and heard whistling from two sources pacing back and forth on both sides of a fence and branch. Feeling hemmed in, he fired a shotgun into the thicket. The sounds stopped and he left.

A family of four hiking with a daughter in an off-road wheelchair encountered a gray-black animal on all fours that approached then left. A tall seven-foot figure then ran through chasing what they believed was a hog, which was heard squealing and then going quiet. A smaller all-fours figure with unusual head hair then approached them snarling until a whistle from the woods called it away, and the family fled.
