Hiker see prints and hears sounds in the Trinity Alps
The witness was camped beside a creek during a Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike when he heard low voice-like sounds coming from opposite ridges. Feeling uneasy as he also heard limbs and sticks breaking on the ridgeline, he broke camp and hiked out by moonlight. The next morning at a side creek he found vegetation slid down and up where something had crossed, with one large clear footprint in a sandbar, which he photographed with his foot alongside for scale.
Campers hear late night vocalizations at Carlon Station
The witness and two companions were snow camping in a tent when they were awakened in the early morning by loud footsteps in snow, puffing and grunting, and repeated piercing screams from a ridge above camp. The sounds moved around the campsite for about an hour before fading as the source walked away over the ridge. The group kept watch until daylight, then packed up and left quickly without seeing the source or approaching the ridge to look for tracks.
Campers have frightening experience in the Marble Mountains Wilderness
In summer 1977 the witness and a companion were backpacking and camped at a trail junction near a creek in forested mountain country. In the middle of the night they were awakened by loud crashing of logs and rocks being hurled in the streambed below. Bipedal footsteps then approached up the slope to behind nearby trees, with heavy breathing heard high in the air and a humph sound after the witness shouted, before the creature walked away parallel to the creek.

The witness had been sleeping in the back of his pickup at a secluded clearing after a late work shift. He heard loud, strange voices approaching rapidly through dense brush, smelled a strong foul odor, and sensed something large vault over the truck. He then saw a large dark shape moving away into the treeline while vocalizing, then drove away.

While living on a military base and walking a trail past eroded hillsides to the beach, the witness repeatedly smelled a strong odor and had small rocks tossed at the back of the carried board. The witness once saw the hairy backside of a large figure running into the hollows, and a friend who teased its speech and threw a rock was chased. Soon after, military police closed the area and the hillside was leveled.
Brothers have strange experience above Strawberry
A group staying in a high-elevation pine forest reported repeated large footprints and strange nighttime sounds over an unspecified period. During one late-night episode, one person looking out from a shelter saw a large shape briefly enter moonlight and then leave. A very large size and long stride were reported for the shape and tracks.

A doctor in the Alpine area reported seeing several creatures on his property. On one night his wife fed chickens and later he heard a deep guttural voice mimicking her chicken call. A detective later cast tracks to support his claims.

The witness was camping with two companions near a lake in Yosemite. After hearing cracking in brush in the afternoon, they heard a close loud roar rising to a high scream at night and smelled a wet-dog odor. Other campers said something ran past their tent, and the group stayed in the tent until sunrise then left without continuing their trip.
Family has early evening sighting near Weed
The family was finishing work at their bee yard in the evening when the father noticed a man-like figure standing by a tall stump. A very loud yipping yell was heard twice, the family dog reacted fearfully, and nearby coyotes fell silent. The figure loped away with dangling arms and long, sure-footed strides, and comparison to the stump afterward led the father to estimate it at about nine feet tall.
Hunters have unusual late night experience near Willow Creek
Two companions camped under a large pine beside a mountain dirt road after their car slid near snow. After dark in the tent they heard grunts, loud breathing and bark crunching as something large circled the tent on two feet. After firing shots from the tent and finding nothing outside, they later heard a long loud high-pitched scream some distance away, then slept until morning and found no footprints in the bark.

Two men camped in a valley found man-like tracks and followed them to a ravine. They watched a large hairy creature beating its chest, displaying strength by throwing a huge rock, near a foul cave with bones. They left without approaching.

A few nights before the daylight sighting, food had been left out for deer. The witnesses heard chewing that sounded human-like and went to the balcony to look. Nothing was visible, but they heard loud pounding footsteps running away and something launching off and going silent.

Over several months the household experienced repeated nighttime disturbances around the house. The daughter reported something slapping the wall under her window and a loud barrel-like impact on the roof. The witness heard hammering on roofs at 3 a.m., single hard tree hits like a bat, chirp whistles and a raccoon-like scream, and objects hitting bedroom windows.

The night after the deck incident the witness heard strange distant sounds resembling known Sierra recordings. Someone fired a gunshot and the sounds stopped. Activity then died down for two or three weeks.

The witness camped with his children in a tent on the back deck to listen to the woods. Something large stomped down the hill and stopped under the deck for an extended time. During the night he heard owls surrounding the house, a low humming sound, howls, dogs barking, a whistle, and a raspy meow-like sound, and a rock and a stick hit the tent above his head.

The witness was lying in bed at night when he heard a very loud amplified-like call repeated twice followed by high-pitched screaming. He got up to listen at the window and then heard very faint whoops. He estimated the sounds came from about 100 yards down the hill.

About two weeks later the same three men returned to a nearby picnic ground on the same river to night fish again. They heard rustling like small animals in leaves that seemed to circle them, followed by unintelligible whisper-like voices that felt very close and could not be located. Feeling the same intense fear as before, they stood back-to-back with firearms then withdrew to their car and left the gear, later learning from a ranger that the bend was where drowned bodies were recovered.

Shortly after the first incident, the witness returned to the same area armed hoping to learn more. He stayed up after work and heard a distant loud siren-like sound similar to the earlier vocalizations. It remained far away and did not approach.
Sasquatch sighting near Shaver, California
The witness drove into the mountains near Shaver with his dog for a day hike to clear his head. About fifteen feet away a reddish female creature stood up from behind a manzanita bush while a large black male charged down from about two hundred yards away. The witness covered his dog in a fetal position until the male stopped close by, then tossed an apple which the female grabbed and ate whole before both walked toward the ridge. Afterwards he found a reddish puddle of blood behind the bush and left quickly.

New owners of an abandoned property began hearing screams nightly and having trash bags taken from the porch and sorted in a bush by color and type. The female resident reported dark hairy figures throwing twigs, candy bait disappearing from rat traps, and large grass impressions. The guest saw the trackway and droppings and set a camcorder that allegedly captured the theft before his notes and tapes were stolen in a break-in.
