The witness was hiking with a dog when the dog ran ahead toward brush about 40 yards away. The witness ran up and briefly saw the back of a dark head as something ran away into thick brush. After a few minutes of silence, footsteps were heard moving downhill away from the witness.

As they left the valley they again heard movement and saw a crouched figure shimmying through thick brush before fleeing the area frightened.

They watched it run away through a cornfield for several seconds until it went over or through a fence and disappeared.
