Years later the same witness was riding in a car at night with two friends toward a coastal campground. She saw a large dark figure standing on a steep slope beside the road. A grapefruit-sized rock struck the roof of the car and dented it, and the group continued driving.

It dropped and reappeared four times, then vanished, and a later visit found a wallowed grass shelter opening to the creek where a comparison man's head looked half as large.

The witness joined a group of about eight on a three-night expedition in southeastern Oklahoma to let the beings come to them. The group heard grunting, whistling, chatter, footsteps and close tree-breaking, had pebbles and a rock thrown, and saw large upright black shadow figures with night vision and naked eyes. One figure was seen behind a truck and one coworker was startled by movement in brush, with no one seriously hurt.

An anonymous group out hiking stopped for nature calls behind a large boulder. Two women saw what looked like part of the boulder moving and bobbing, estimated at about eight feet tall. When others called from above it perked up and left, and later urine was found piled against the boulder.

A woman and her five-year-old son had car trouble past the dam and tried to walk to town. Something big and hairy chased them. The woman was found hysterical on the roadside and the boy hid in a culvert, saying a monster tried to pull him out, leaving his lower legs and feet torn.

During a day and night visit the group found footprints in mud, heard deep yep sounds and monkey chatter keeping distance, saw primitive stick structures and stripped bones, and heard toddler-like cries by the river. At night they heard prolonged roars, whoops and screams, and saw a heat signature standing in a field that vanished when approached.

At age eleven the guest and two older girls returned to their plywood fort in false dawn to find the woods unnaturally quiet. Something large walked directly in front of the small opening in five loud bipedal steps, blocking the light, and crossed about ten yards over a creek. They hid then fled and never slept there again.

While visiting the grandparents and discussing missing freezer meat, the father turned and saw someone standing in the kitchen window. He ran outside to confront the figure but no one was there, and the window was about eleven feet off the ground.

On a third overnight stay with only three people including a skeptical peer, the group waited until about 2:30 a.m. The creature approached more quietly along the same path to the same tree, peeked out three times briefly showing an arm and eyes, then withdrew and left up the hollow. The skeptic was disappointed by the brief view and the witness decided not to return.

The witness returned to the same rock house about two weeks later and camped overnight. Around 1:30 a.m. the same heavy footsteps approached the same poplar tree, the creature peeked out a few times showing red eyeshine, then left without stepping fully out and without making much noise.

A coyote hunter driving at night saw a large canine-like figure hunched behind a dead deer by a curve. As headlights hit it, the figure looked toward the vehicle and gave what was described as an animated human-like smile. The driver sped home, an account retold by the investigator who interviewed him.

At age 15 the guest was fishing alone at a creek near his father's house when he heard whoops and saw a large hairy figure behind a sycamore. He confronted it with a .22 rifle, and after it growled and roared he shot it in the throat, then in the hand, then multiple times in the chest as it screamed, broke saplings, and ran straight through a barbed-wire fence across a hay meadow. Later that day his father found broken trees, blood and hair on the sycamore, and blood and hair on the broken fence wires.

The witness and a companion were at the site at night when they both saw a large white flash of movement cross the trail about eight to nine feet off the ground. The witness had previously described the sighting as a flash, which listeners mistook for a flash of light.

As a teenager the guest and three friends sat on car hoods at night on a straight gravel road in river bottoms. They saw a figure standing in the middle of the road while a scream erupted from near an oil derrick about 25 meters away. The boys scrambled into the car and drove away, later disagreeing on details, with one friend reporting a closer figure by the derrick.
