The next day the brothers drove to the far end of the park and split up to explore along a remote barbed wire fence near a ravine. One brother saw a large brownish arm pushing brush aside to look at him, then called the other brother over. Together they watched a large mass behind trees, heard two knocks returned after hitting a fence post and had a fist-sized rock thrown over their heads, then saw the figure with arms around two trees rocking before it crashed away through brush as the third brother approached yelling.

After the friend headed back, the witness saw a six-foot bipedal figure with long arms take a quick lateral step behind a tree and disappear. They both then hurried out of the woods.

Two senior members separated to hold still positions, one toward the creek and one toward the foot of the mountain. While neither was supposed to move, each saw an upright figure and assumed it was the other member. Neither used binoculars, and the opportunity was lost when they realized neither had moved.

It moved from the east past Mendocino and Sonoma out to the Farallones where other fishermen said it entered the water still glowing. The guest could not tell if it was natural or crafted.

A researcher patrolling a closed watershed followed fresh tracks uphill in mud and filmed a subject as it walked away. He later cast the prints, which another researcher regarded as among the best ever. The teller defends the footage against claims the tracks were faked.

The witness saw a large silhouette block the moonlit trail beside a low-hanging limb, then take a couple steps across. Only two thick legs were visible, estimated seven feet tall with a very deep chest, and it struck the limb with an audible crack. Both occupants fled in the car and met their friends coming up.

The witness, then a 10-year-old boy, was catching reptiles in a dry creek bed behind his grandparents' rural property when a tall slender ape-like female appeared across the creek with an infant. He crouched and pretended to eat vegetation to avoid provoking her while they observed each other for several minutes. A taller darker male then emerged, bared his teeth and displayed aggressively, and the female positioned herself between the male and the boy. Both creatures then left into the brush, and the boy ran home and told his grandmother, who said she believed him.

A few days after the field light the witness woke around 3 a.m. unable to move or speak and saw a clear sparkly bubble-like blob moving between his head and feet. His dog barked outside and he abruptly regained movement. The identical paralysis and blob recurred the next night for up to fifteen minutes, again ending when the dog barked.
