The witness was traveling at highway speed around midnight after getting off work when they noticed a tall hairy figure standing in a ditch beside a cement bridge. The figure's head was well above the bridge deck, leading the witness to estimate a height of eight to nine feet. The witness went back in daylight the next morning and found no tall vegetation that could explain the sighting.

They then observed a tall, large dark hair-covered figure passing a high dining-room window and filling it from edge to edge. At age ten the guest was on a ferry from Seattle to Victoria crossing Admiralty Inlet. Passengers noticed a large black figure swimming in the wake toward Whidbey Island with plainly visible arms. Another passenger suggested it was a Bigfoot, which prompted the guest's later interest.

They smelled something like something dead, heard heavy thudding footsteps and grunts, and saw a very tall figure swaying behind a tree about thirty yards away, with limb-breaking sounds to the side. As a child the witness was at home at night with siblings and a cousin when the doorbell rang repeatedly with no one there. An older brother became hysterical after seeing something peeking from behind a tree and gesturing, and later a neighbor arrived saying something had followed him in the woods. Two older girls then saw a dark form at the bottom of a trail that moved and had red eyes, and also something with a cone-shaped head peeking around a garage, and the younger children later saw a large figure pass by a window.

On a warm summer evening, brothers were playing in a wooded hillside area. One brother ran out of the woods screaming that he had seen a hairy monster. When the others went back with him, nothing was visible but a strong rotten smell lingered and very large human-like footprints were found in soft ground near a spring. Adults dismissed the account, but the brother maintained the claim years later.

The witness was camping with family and friends in a U-shaped camp and sleeping alone in a tent against a tree. Late at night under a full moon the witness heard heavy bipedal steps on gravel and rocks and rock-on-rock hitting in threes. Something large and hairy on two feet passed behind the tent in shadow, and the witness screamed until a parent came out.
