The creature remained behind a tree for about 15 minutes, peeking out at the witness and appearing to smile. A deputy sheriff driving north on U.S. 95 well after dark en route to an accident scene saw a large hairy biped cross the road in front of his car. The animal came up one embankment, crossed in a few seconds, went up the steep opposite bank and disappeared into brush. The deputy described dark fur, upright walking, broad build, and eyes reflecting headlights.

The witness was working an overnight security shift at a strip mine when he heard movement in brush behind the trailer. Shining a flashlight, he saw a large bipedal animal squatting behind a thicket that covered its face with huge hands before running away. A reddish-brown creature came fast through the woods to the right, heading toward the witness, then turned toward the river before reaching the road. The witness then heard a loud deep growl rising into a scream from the trees and saw a very tall, wide, dark furry figure partly hidden in shadows moving along the tree line. Frightened, the witness ran to the truck and left. The next day the resident said strange sounds had occurred lately and warned against entering the woods alone.

The witness and two companions were fishing in a swampy wooded area from a small paddle boat when they heard loud walking in the woods. They looked toward the sound and saw an upright gray-haired entity about 70 to 80 feet away, with its lower body hidden by bushes. They estimated it stood about 7 to 8 feet tall and noted it had very large eyes.

The orb drifted aimlessly among trunks, illuminating branches and ground, staying a few feet off the ground for many minutes. The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand in early morning mist when a strong musky odor hit. A dark shape circled at about 75 yards for several minutes, moving heavily through leaves and sounding bipedal, before running off. The witness estimated its height at seven to eight feet despite never getting a clear view.

The witness drove with a companion to a turnaround at the end of a rough logging road through pine woods to talk. After getting out of the car, the witness heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching and then watched a huge human-like figure move through the trees for about ten seconds. The figure stopped about twenty yards away and looked over the treetops before the witness fled in the car. The witness returned with a relative the next day and reported the trees were nine to ten feet tall, with the head just above that level.

All three heard an extremely loud scream or roar, and two of them briefly saw the creature before it was gone. The witness described feeling paralyzed or hazy while the children fled to their van.
