She observed its back as it walked calmly into the surrounding brush, noting broad shoulders, no visible neck, and a head pointed on top, but she did not see its face or legs. After returning home she told a relative, who searched the area with a camcorder but the figure was already gone.

She saw part of a large reddish-brown fur-covered animal, hunched over and rubbing or pounding its head or shoulders on trees. When she moved to get a better view, the animal ran toward her growling with heavy footfalls, and she fled to the house as it hit downed trees and stopped at the brush edge.

The witness then saw a long reddish-haired creature squatting motionless near the corner of the house without looking toward them. He described the animal as over seven feet tall, heavily built, with long muscular arms and no visible neck.

The witness was kayaking ahead of a companion on a narrow river on a cool clear morning when a thick musty odor hit. The witness then saw a wide mass of long shiny fur rise near the bank and run away through dense woods, snapping small trees. The odor lingered so strongly the witness held breath and paddled away for fresh air.

The witness was home alone in the evening when something struck the locked front door hard. She heard a low grunting or growling sound and then saw a pair of slanted eyes and a hairy head staring at her from a few feet away in the dark. The witness was horseback riding on a pine-forest trail with her mother when her horse tensed and bolted. She turned and saw a tall, dark, upright figure behind a log that then ran toward a field. Both horses galloped uncontrolled back toward camp, leaving the riders shaken. She estimated the figure at 7-8 feet and said its proportions did not look human.

Two companions hiking a trail to pick berries rounded a corner and saw a tall dark furry figure about 40-50 yards ahead moving away through palmettos, with only the upper body visible. The companion reported loud thrashing and breaking vegetation while the reporting witness recalled no sound. After about half a minute they fled the area in fright.

The witness was driving down an on-ramp to Interstate 59 at Exit 166 toward Birmingham in the afternoon when she noticed a figure beside the trees. She described huge green eyes, a visible shoulder, and an arm leaning on a tree, estimating the figure at 6 to 8 feet tall with dark gray-black coloring. The figure stayed behind the tree without moving and was seen only for a few seconds as she drove past.

About ten feet away he saw a very large eyeshine figure rocking slowly, then a second smaller set of eyes beside it, before backing away and guarding the tent all night.

The figure was backlit by a neighboring porch light, showing a large rounded head on very large rounded shoulders with little neck.
Man has early morning sighting near Sly Park
The witness was driving northbound on Sly Park Road before dawn when the high beams revealed a large animal standing on two legs beside the road. The animal dropped to all fours, crossed to the opposite side into roadside brush, then watched the vehicle from the brush where its face was seen close to the passenger window. The witness later estimated its height at about eight feet based on the roadside drop-off and concluded it was not a bear.

Driver has early evening road sighting on Interstate 84 southeast of Pendleton
The witness was driving slowly westbound on I-84 in fog and snow when they passed a large, dark, shaggy creature sitting or leaning against the guardrail beside the lane. The creature appeared to watch traffic pass, turning its head from side to side, with snow streaked on its long hair or fur-like coat. The witness saw no stalled vehicles or reason for a person to be in that isolated, steep, cold location and later wondered if it could have been Sasquatch.
