Sasquatch sighting near Estacada, Oregon (1989)
Four youths went hunting past the guest's camp on a logged area near Estacada. After feeling uneasy in young fir trees and hearing a loud snap near a brush pile, they noticed something pacing them in brush. About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.
Girls see retreating biped near Molalla River
In 1984 two teenage companions were hanging out near a river swimming area under a bridge before dusk when they both noticed a tall, dark, hair-covered human-like figure running between trees on the far side of the river. The figure moved fast with human-like motion, slightly stooped, glanced at them while running, and quickly disappeared. Both fled home and told the witness's parents, who did not believe them.
Rock throwing near Yamhill County (1982)
While staying at a farm, two children had a rock tossed at them in a clearing and were herded home by dogs. Over following months they heard screams and knocks, found a large footprint with ridges, a distressed horse, and disturbed hay resembling a nest in the barn loft. In mid-winter the witness saw a curious dark-haired face looking in a basement window, and in spring the father returned from a short walk to grab firearms and forbid solo trips into the woods.
Footsteps heard outside of camper trailer near Bear Valley National Bald Eagle Refuge
The witness and a young relative spent the night in a camp trailer near the family house. Over several hours at night they heard heavy bipedal footsteps circling the trailer, brushing and clawing sounds on the siding, door and ceiling vent, and later blows to the trailer. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.
Large Bipedal Animal Seen Crossing Rural Road and Climbing Cutbank
In early-morning darkness and light rain the witness was driving a paper route near Arago when a large reddish-brown long-haired animal crossed the road and scaled a steep grassy roadcut within about 15 feet of the truck. The animal moved very fast with rear legs set wide apart and spine not flexing like a bear, using its front limbs hand-over-hand, showing broad shoulders, a flat-profile face and a part in the wet hair along its spine. It reached the top in seconds and went out of sight.
Camper has night sighting near Crater Lake
The witness was camping with relatives south of Crater Lake and sleeping alone in a tent at night. While lying in a sleeping bag, the witness heard footsteps approach from the wooded side and saw a human-like outline shadowed in a distant campfire glow. The figure bumped the corner of the tent, shaking it, paused as if staring, then moved toward the front where it could no longer be heard on pavement.
Nighttime sighting by motorist between Barton and Carver
The witness and a roommate were driving at night when they saw eye reflection and a dark brown creature standing behind limbs by the road. The creature was visible from chest to head with arms at its sides and stood watching as they drove by. They returned in daylight and found a trail crossing toward the river but no clear tracks.
Two young campers have frightful, dawn encounter near Cave Junction
Two sisters sleeping in a tent trailer awoke early in the morning to scratching on the bottom, top and sides of their bunk. When they unzipped a window they smelled a strong foul odor and saw dark brown fur pressed against the mesh. They woke their parents, but whatever was there was gone by the time the parents went outside.
Young camper frightened by large hand gathering berries
The witness was camping with family in a wooded Oregon area near a shallow river and was playing outside a camper while two relatives napped. After hearing underbrush rustle and noticing a small sapling bend, the witness moved closer and saw a large hairy hand reach from behind berry brush to grab berries from about 8 to 10 feet away. The witness ran back to camp without seeing the rest of the creature and later described the hand as clearly a hand rather than a paw.
Boy Scout sees part of retreating sasquatch
The witness was on a midweek overnight compass exercise with fellow scouts in a wooded ravine in northeast Oregon. While fishing alone in a creek at dusk he felt watched, turned, and saw a dark long leg and foot moving uphill into trees and brush. He saw no other details, noted no odor, and told no one at the time.
Daytime sighting by swimmers in Wolf Creek area
In mid-summer 1975 the witness and a companion were at an isolated creek swimming hole. While washing hair in the water, the witness noticed a head watching from behind a fallen log, which then ducked out of view. Moments later the witness saw the head, shoulder, arm and upper torso of a very tall brownish hair-covered upright creature near scrub vegetation across the creek. Both people quickly left the water, and a later search of the hillside revealed nothing.

Around noon the witness and a relative were in a raised platform in the woods shooting a BB gun at a stump when the witness saw a furry head pass in front of the stump and disappear into brush. The relative turned only in time to see branches swaying. The two later estimated the height at about seven and a half feet from where it had passed.
Hunter briefly observes a stationary upright animal before it runs away
About 30 years ago the witness was hunting elk alone along a high ridge in daylight. He watched a dark upright shape behind a lone pine for a couple minutes, looked away to check for elk, then glimpsed brown legs to the waist running bipedally and silently across a clearing. He ran to get a wider view but saw and heard nothing further and could not explain the sighting as a known animal.

The witness was with two companions camping and riding dirt bikes when freezing rain left ice on the road. At night on a dark cloudy hilltop he stopped to wait and watched something come up to the road. It took two or three large upright steps across the road onto a cut bank and was gone. He described it as much bigger and too bulky to be a person.
Graceful creature ran by man when he was 15
While deer hunting alone from a stump, the witness saw a large human-like figure run through brush about 50 feet away. The figure was first mistaken for the witness's father, but the father then appeared elsewhere on foot, smaller and much noisier. The witness described the figure as huge, powerful, fast, graceful and quiet.
Sasquatch sighting near Rainier, Oregon (1970)
The witness describes three years of repeated encounters after his family moved onto a wooded hillside property. Four ape-like animals repeatedly approached the trailers, peered in windows, vocalized at night, left tracks, damaged structures, and killed livestock. The father shot the largest animal in the shoulder near the pump house, after which the animals moved faster and more cautiously but continued the activity. Forestry and law-enforcement visitors reportedly told the father to stop shooting, and timber workers and well drillers also encountered the animals.

At age 11 the witness rode on the side of her mother's pickup as her mother backed toward the road at night. Brake lights illuminated a very tall white or silver figure standing by a bushy tree about 10 feet away. It stared and snarled at her with dark eyes, then she threw herself flat in the truck bed as her mother drove away.
Huge creature almost hit by a truck
Two relatives were at home late at night when they heard someone going through items on the back porch. They looked out and saw a huge Bigfoot-like figure going through their belongings. One of them screamed and the creature ran off.
Nighttime encounter by a worker at a logging site
In summer 1968 the witness was working alone at night installing radio equipment on a yarder at a remote logging landing in Oregon. After dark he felt watched and twice saw bright eyes, the second time discerning a large wide black shape about 20 feet away, accompanied by a repulsive odor. He left the site for the night and returned at daylight, finding no footprints. The next morning a crew member showed him heavy barrels that had been moved, which the witness associated with the animal.

A group of young people were swimming when one girl sitting at a picnic table screamed after seeing a large hairy figure watching through bushes. When she screamed it replaced the branches to cover its face and left. She was hysterical and only described what she saw after calming down elsewhere.
