Three people camping overnight near a creek reported prolonged howling in the evening and a close loud scream during the night. Through the night they heard movement around the tents, sticks hitting trees, branches breaking, and had objects disturbed including a tent stake pulled out. They also reported white eyeshine, a pungent odor, a dark figure seen in the treeline after daylight, and footprints and torn branches found in the morning.

The witness sat on the front porch steps in the evening and saw a tall hairy figure standing in the woods near the chicken coop, which then ran away. After it left, knocking sounds were heard from the woods. Shortly before, a relative had been growled at near the coop and had retrieved a firearm.

Late at night the witness was summoned to the back porch by a relative and shone a spotlight toward a large oak about 30 yards away. A tall hair-covered upright figure stood partly behind the tree, repeatedly peeking out as the light moved, then stepped fully into view facing them before retreating behind the tree and fleeing through the woods. The next morning the witness found two large footprints behind the tree and another unclear print nearby.

A couple camping on an isolated site finished dinner and sat by a campfire when the wife felt watched and fearful. The husband searched with lights and briefly saw movement in the trees about 30 feet away, including what looked like a large dark lower leg. While inside the trailer the wife heard two to three whooping sounds from that wooded area.

The witness was driving west on a highway in the afternoon when he noticed a stationary stocky figure covered in reddish long hair standing beyond a fallow field in front of woods. He saw only the upper body and head for about three seconds before a bank and foliage blocked the view. His companion was asleep and saw nothing, and he was unable to stop or return to the location.

The witness was riding at the back of a large group of ATVs at night through a muddy, wooded trail. As he approached a large tree, he made eye contact with a tall, muscular, hair-covered figure pressed flat against the tree with its hands on the trunk. After a stare lasting about 15 seconds, the witness rode past within a few feet, looked back, and saw the figure take one quick step and disappear into the darkness.

The witness was riding in the back seat of a car traveling west in the early morning. After noticing a strong rotten-egg and wet-dog odor, the witness saw a large dark hair-covered figure standing by a palm 300-500 yards away and facing the road. The view lasted only a few seconds before roadside trees blocked it. After turning around and returning, the figure was gone but a strange smell lingered.

The witness awoke in a truck at a forest campsite around dawn and briefly saw a dark figure run between a tent and a parked vehicle. The witness stayed awake afraid until daylight and left quickly in the morning.

The guest and his mother were driving home slowly after their newspaper route when headlights caught a creature running through a field. It stopped by the roadside very close to the car and stared at them with eyeshine while holding a watermelon. After they passed, his mother sped away and both confirmed they saw the same human-like, muscular being.

On the night after an initial nighttime vocalization, the witness looked out a bedroom window around 1 a.m. after dogs growled and saw a very tall, hairy human-like creature standing 15 to 20 feet away in moonlight, visible from the midsection up. After a few seconds he looked out the window and saw a tall hair-covered figure below the window retreating toward the woods. The figure disappeared within about two seconds. The witness camped alone for several nights using a thermal imager. On the fourth night an object was thrown near the tent, then a heat signature was seen peeking over brush along a trail. The figure stood and ran away bipedally while brush thrashed on both sides, and the witness left the thermal recording overnight.
Morning sighting by a woodcutter NW of Conconully
The witness was driving on a mountain road toward a firewood cutting spot when the dog alerted to the left. The witness stopped and saw a tall dark figure look at him while walking behind a large slash pile about 75 yards away near the tree line. The figure did not reappear from the other side, and when the witness drove forward it was gone, apparently having gone into the woods. The witness did not get out to look for tracks.
