Partial sighting in Texas (2009)
Two canine handlers were driving separate Tahoes home late at night between Ozona and Big Lake. A large black animal on all fours rushed from the ditch at the lead Tahoe, turned and paced it for 50 to 150 feet at 80 to 85 mph at window height. It lacked a horse or cow-like neck and elongated head, then fell back. The trailing officer saw no detail.

The witness hiked into the national forest in late afternoon to photograph woods and wildlife and waited near a utility clearing. After briefly seeing a juvenile bear emerge and retreat, the witness turned and noticed a large upright human-like shape close by in thick brush. A tree trunk snapped and fell toward the witness, who fled to the car and drove away, later concluding the shape might have been a Sasquatch.

The witness drove to the back of a hunting property and left the truck running while replacing an apple block and checking game trails. While squatted looking for sign, the witness heard a close guttural sound, drew a pistol, felt heavy footsteps, and saw a very large biped run about 20 yards through brush before dropping to all fours and crashing away. The witness found no tracks due to soil conditions, backed out to the truck, and drove away watching for pursuit.

The witness was alone checking hog traps at the secluded, heavily wooded back of a large ranch during the daytime. He saw a very large charcoal-gray hairy biped about six feet tall run behind a tree and hide. Frightened, he left the area immediately and did not see it again.

Two occupants of a Jeep returning to base camp late at night noticed a large, dark, upright figure walking in the road ahead of their headlights. The figure, described as broad, massive and moving smoothly, stepped off into a ditch and into the woods as the vehicle approached. After stopping, one occupant heard sounds in the woods and both then saw a head-and-shoulders shape move quickly between trees before the area went quiet.

A couple walking on a gated two-track trail near the Trinity River at dusk claimed a rusty-red upright figure about six feet tall leapt across the trail about 40 yards ahead and disappeared into the woods in under a second. They ran to the crossing point and reported hearing it continue running through the woods, flushing birds, and the primary witness smelled a strong musky odor. They found no tracks but noted a clump of freshly uprooted trees nearby.

The witness was hunting hogs from a tree stand at sunrise when he watched a large hairy biped stalk hogs from tree to tree. From a rooftop perch the witness watched a tall dark figure by a school bus that looked toward him, crouched, then ran away, accompanied by strange howl-growl sounds from dogs nearby.

The witness was on a walk in woods near a creek below her property and sat on a natural log bridge. She twice viewed through binoculars a brown, hairy, bipedal creature about 50 to 75 yards away that appeared frozen mid-stride in a bent-over stance staring toward her, then could not find it on a third look. She heard nothing further, waited some time, and continued her walk about ten minutes later without further incident.

A witness went to fill deer feeders in a river bottom in late afternoon and found a feeder tangled in a tree. While investigating, the witness followed glimpses of a shaggy animal through thick cover to a river crossing where it stepped into the open and was seen upright for about 10 seconds before leaving. After it left, the witness heard a loud snap behind and left the area.

The witness, then 15, was hunting with his father on remote public land in East Texas. On the final evening he heard a loud knock then prolonged screaming directed at him and footsteps circling behind him. A creature stuck its head through brush 20 yards away and stared at him until his father's vehicle approached, when it ran off screaming. He fled, was physically ill for days, and avoided deep woods afterward.

The witness was driving on a narrow wooded road in late morning with three young passengers in the car. She noticed a tall reddish-haired figure in a thicket ahead, initially mistaking it for a horse. As she drove closer the figure turned to look at her, then crouched behind a small tree and watched her pass at close range. She kept driving without stopping, and the passengers did not see it.

During the night two who were sleeping heard noises and saw a tall figure leaning from the treeline, followed by louder crashing movement circling the camp. When they returned in the morning to collect belongings they heard a loud wavering scream and fled, later noting broken limbs in the area.
