The creatures stole stored meat, produced a strong odor, vocalized from nearby hills, and attempted to enter the house. The father confronted and shot at one, and family members later fired from the porch toward vocalizations on the hill.

After evening-shooting a large deformed buck that ran into the woods, the guest returned at dawn and crawled into a low briar tunnel to follow blood. A tremendous growl vibrated through him, heavy stomping approached, and a towering shadow loomed over his back with visible flexing fingers. He talked calmly while backing out, then fled. Two days later he found only the deer's ripped-off head with crumbling bone.

The witness paused and thought sunlight glinted on hair within the pile, but the pile then remained completely still and the witness walked away.

The witness saw a white human-like form, resembling a woman in a long dress, move quickly across the yard. The view was brief and partial, and the witness did not go outside to investigate.

Looking up, the witness gradually realized a pale face with recessed eyes was looking down through the high window. The face moved away after apparent eye contact, leaving the witness frightened and hiding under blankets.

One night he woke to rattling, saw a cone-headed form at the cans, and watched it spin, drop to all fours, and sprint across the roughly 50-yard yard into dense rainforest-like brush at remarkable speed. At the time he dismissed it as a bear, but later interpreted the long arms and quadrupedal run as Sasquatch-like.

While walking near a creek the witness heard something wading bipedally through water and making a lip-rattling sound similar to one the witness often makes. The witness tried to parallel it to see through an opening but only caught a brief flash of light auburn hair. After circling, the witness found a wet step on a root and bark pulled back where something appeared to have climbed out, but saw nothing further.
