The witness was driving south late at night when an upright dark figure came off a wooded hillside and crossed the road in front of the vehicle. The figure crossed from west to east about 30 feet ahead and continued up the opposite hill within about three to four seconds. The witness described it as roughly seven to eight feet tall with a stocky build.

The witness was driving north on a highway late at night on the way home from work. A very large bipedal animal ran across the road in front of the car at very close range from east to west. The witness saw only the rear of the animal, noting its long wavy hair and large size, and kept driving while watching traffic behind.

The witness was making dinner in the kitchen and looking out the back window toward the woods when he noticed a large black figure crouched behind a tree. A later search found no tracks or impressions.

While hiking in a creek bed the witness heard movement in brush and locked eyes with a short hair-covered being peeking from trees. It ran off loudly breaking limbs. He realized his phone had recorded part of it but did not return for prints.

The witness reports nearly a year of interaction at a rural home property where food left in a tree was taken, rocks were tossed near family members, vocalizations and a strong odor were noted, and a large hairy figure was partly seen beside a tree. The family came to view the main animal as a gentle female and believed several others including young were present. Activity is said to have faded after new homes were built nearby.

He turned with binoculars and watched a dark bipedal figure walk easily down a distant mountainside. He estimated it was about eight feet tall because the snow only reached mid-calf.

The witness and a relative were hunting and crossing an open field to leave around dusk. The witness, waiting alone in the open, saw a distant figure walking with large steps along their earlier path and then standing behind a tree watching and moving its head side to side. After the relative rejoined and looked toward it, both ran to the trail and got a ride out from a passing couple.

The witness hiked to a riverside fishing spot on a sunny late morning after a cold night. As he came up an embankment he saw a large hairy upright animal standing in the sun about 30-40 yards away and watched it for about 15-20 seconds before speaking to it. The animal then avoided eye contact and left quickly uphill, after which the witness heard rapid knocking sounds like a drum roll from the ridge. He camped there overnight without seeing it again.
Possible activity at a home outside Queen City
A child riding a toy vehicle in the backyard told a relative to come see something, but a relative hurried over and the thing was already gone. The child described a tall brown hairy figure watching her, with upright hair on top of its head, taller than a parent, and said it was not a cow from a nearby pasture. The family questioned the child and believed she had seen something unusual, and she has since avoided the spot.
Hiker has a daylight sighting in Buffalo Rock State Park
The witness was standing on an effigy overlook in a state park around midday. A single upright animal reportedly emerged from brush about 50 feet away and traveled about 150 feet along a brushy river embankment before going back down toward the river, making crashing noise in vegetation. The witness observed it from the side and rear, describing it as tall, muscular, and dark, with long arms, but did not see its face.

While hunting turkey alone along a driveway, the witness stalked what looked like a turkey to a ravine shelf, felt watched, then turned and saw a tall reddish-brown upright blur retreat very close behind him. He could not explain it as deer or bird because it made no noise. He moved to the open driveway and then heard extremely loud rapid tree knocks.

The witness was working overnight inside a building at a trailer drop yard when loud chimpanzee-like noises were heard from the north edge near hedge apple trees. The witness yelled toward the sounds and approached to about 60 feet, when branches began shaking. A four-foot reddish animal was seen from behind in the tree with a wedge-shaped head and longer-than-human arms before it moved away out of view while noises continued.

Two men sat in complete darkness in a forest hotspot talking and playing harmonicas to invite contact while two companions monitored from about 100 yards with a thermal imager. After hearing a stick break and soft knocks, they reported seeing a small red-orange light near the ground that illuminated ferns and silhouetted what looked like a large finger with knuckles moving toward them before fading. They remained on site afterward playing music and talking.

A couple sitting at a picnic table beside a small pond noticed leaves fluttering with no wind and then saw a very large dark figure about 30 yards away in the treeline swaying back and forth. The wife described a gorilla-like face while her husband focused on the immense body size. After briefly watching them, the figure stepped back into the shadows and disappeared silently.

After standing up, they noticed a very large reddish-brown figure standing down the mountainside and watched it for about 90 seconds. The witness was driving south on US 33 near Plattsburg late at night when an upright animal crossed the road west to east in front of the vehicle. The animal moved very quickly from the ditch to a fence, braced with its left hand and jumped over with both feet into corn. The witness described a very tall, stout, shaggy light red-brown animal seen in side profile without a clear view of head or feet.

The witness was riding a personal watercraft up the Pit River arm of Shasta Lake in July. While rounding a turn, the witness saw a large hairy head with eyes about 20 feet from shore staring at them. After a few seconds the head submerged leaving a ripple, and the witness circled and searched the area but found no further sign.

The witness and a companion walked into a meadow off an old logging road mid-afternoon after the companion made calls. While scanning the treeline the witness saw a large, silent figure move quickly left to right through trees, noting a hand and long straggly hair, then a second broader flash before losing sight. They radioed camp, waited and watched, and saw a deer approach closely then bolt screaming toward the woods; a later search with others found nothing further that day.
