Sasquatch sighting near Willow Creek, California (2023)
While driving a motorhome with his family from Willow Creek toward the redwoods, the witness rounded a curve and saw a large dark creature get up on two legs beside the road. It ran smoothly and very fast straight up a steep brushy hill to the treeline. He stopped and walked to the spot, saw pushed-through bushes and movement above, felt he should leave, and his wife confirmed she also saw it.

The witness and a relative arrived at a high desert lake before sunrise to photograph the sunrise. The witness saw a black bipedal figure walking parallel about 15 yards away before it disappeared behind rock formations. The relative also noticed movement in that general area. The witness later concluded the figure was not the other photographer present, but did not search for traces.

The witness was driving up a mountain logging road to work in the morning with an infant in the car. A tall, hairy bipedal creature crossed the road in about two steps in front of the vehicle and entered the woods. The witness was frightened and drove quickly on to campus.

Later the same day the pair hiked deep into the forest, first noting twisted broken branches pointed toward the trail. On a thicker, darker return trail they heard bipedal footsteps on both sides, a whistle, a deep vocal sound, and smelled a foul odor while the woods stayed silent. After reaching a logging clearing with empty cabins, they turned to see the back of a tall dark-haired biped before hurrying to a paved road where workers directed them out.

While driving up the mountain highway toward the trailhead, the guest's girlfriend reported seeing a tall, dark, hair-covered figure standing upright near the base of the mountain and watching the road. The guest was focused on the narrow road and did not see it himself. They discussed the sighting briefly but could not stop due to traffic.

The witness was fishing with family at a lake in the afternoon and walked to check a second rod. He heard leaves crunching about 30 feet to his left and saw a hairy ape-like creature with light brown hair running with long swinging arms while crouched forward. The witness and his wife were driving on Highway 180 at night when their headlights lit two upright, hair-covered figures ahead. The larger figure led while a smaller figure followed, and both crossed the road in a few seconds and went down the embankment into a forested area. The witness emphasized the figures walked on two feet with long human-like strides and were not bears or people.

The witness was driving home behind another truck when a large hairy creature jumped from a steep hill onto the road. Both trucks braked hard to avoid hitting it. The creature looked at the vehicles, stood up, leapt high into the air with arms extended, twisted, grabbed the hillside and disappeared into brush.

Four women driving south on Patricks Point Road near Trinidad in the late afternoon watched a very tall, dark figure walk across the road in front of their car. The figure was described as solid black head to toe, trim with broad shoulders and arms reaching near the knees, moving with a purposeful stride from forested land on one side into thick brush with no visible trail on the other. The occupants were struck by its height, smoothness, and silhouette appearance without visible face or clothing lines, and afterward wondered if it had been a Bigfoot.

The witness was deer hunting alone on a mountainside when he noticed odd upside-down branch structures. He then saw a tall dark bipedal figure about 60 yards away watching him from a tree grove edge. The figure sprinted uphill and disappeared within seconds, leaving no footprints in deep pine needles.

The witness was driving east on a highway at night with four children to collect a relative. After re-engaging bright headlights on a slight curve, the witness saw a tall slim grey hair-covered figure standing beside the narrow roadside looking toward the vehicle. The figure stayed largely still while turning its head to follow the slow-moving vehicle for an estimated 15-20 seconds at close range. The driver then accelerated away and stopped at a rest area to recover from fright.

After leaving the large ship at night, the witness stopped on the sidewalk and watched a dull gray spherical object hovering roughly 800 to 1000 feet up. He observed it clearly for four to five seconds in port lighting before it shot off toward the ocean, leaving a streak of light. He heard no sound.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a companion driving to a casino at night when howling was heard and shortly afterward a large hair-covered biped was seen near the roadside in headlights. The creature reportedly stared toward a lead vehicle that braked and swerved, then walked off into a field. The witness and companion were frightened and returned home by a different route.

While driving north on the highway, the witness and a companion saw a large dark hairy biped moving quickly from under a bridge toward the highway embankment. The witness watched for about 30 to 45 seconds as it took large steps with long arms swinging before reaching bushes by the road. They did not stop out of fear, and the companion reported only a very brief glimpse of a tall dark figure.
Nightime sighting by a couple along a main highway between South Lake Tahoe and Placerville
A couple driving toward Sacramento on Highway 50 at night saw a tall hairy figure standing in a pullout on the north side of the road. The figure was illuminated by high beams from about 20 to 30 feet away and appeared to be watching traffic. The viewing lasted only a few seconds at highway speed, and both occupants described a very large, thick, dark brown to black figure.
Sighting in Deep Creek Wilderness, near Lake Arrrowhead
In summer 2009 near Deep Creek by Lake Arrowhead, California, the witness reported seeing a very tall figure standing on a large boulder about a mile away. Companions with the witness also saw it but thought it was a person, and the witness remained unsure what was seen. A photo was taken from a great distance but was too blurry to show detail or scale.

The witness was driving out of a condo complex around 2:30 a.m. to drive home. The truck headlights illuminated a very tall figure walking north through a field beside the road. The witness watched its side profile as it moved quickly with long swinging arms and did not react to the lights. After turning onto the main road, the witness looked back and could no longer see it.
Man Has Face to Face Encounter Outside of Willits
The witness was driving north on Highway 101 north of Willits in daylight when a large hair-covered biped entered the roadway and ran across the lanes in front of the car. The witness braked and then stopped as the animal paused at the road edge about 25 feet away, turned its upper body and stared for about five seconds. The animal then bounded up a steep embankment on all fours and left.
Daylight sighting by backpacker near Pacific Crest Trail west of Independence observes two creatures during the afternoon on the PCT
On the afternoon of August 11, 2007, the witness was resting near the Pacific Crest Trail in the southern high Sierras when he noticed two upright, dark-furred figures about 200 yards away near a deep canyon. He watched for about 10 minutes as they moved around close together, apparently looking at the ground and unaware of him. After he made a coyote call, both figures quickly left his view down into the canyon.

The witness and two companions went night fishing for catfish along the Kern River to avoid daytime heat. After hearing an extremely loud deep roar that caused physical fear, they saw a very tall black bipedal figure across the river that shoved a large live tree until it snapped. The figure then entered the deep fast river and moved toward them with apparent ease, prompting them to abandon their gear and flee by car.
