In a 1984 daytime sighting, a woman with three young children watched a female creature step into the open about 30 yards away to observe the children playing and laughing. The witness saw breasts, fingernails, blinking eyes and breathing chest, and described its expressions as grinning and non-malicious. Two children catching fireflies approached a large gray figure standing in a field and illuminated it within about 30 feet. They saw a mostly hairless bearded face, brow ridge, cone head, long arms and a squatting two-legged walk. After their light failed the figure moved to the woodline and they walked home.

The witness was deer hunting with a parent when the parent fired three shots from a nearby holler. The witness moved to the edge of a field, heard talking-like chattering, then saw two quadrupedal hairy animals burst from brush and run toward the witness. Both the witness and the parent fired at the animals, which moved very quickly across the creek bottom and up the opposite ridge.

Around noon, the guest and his then-wife were driving outside town when they saw a huge black triangle with a clipped corner moving high in the sky. About ten to twelve silver disks orbited it clockwise. They stopped with other motorists and watched about ten minutes until it left sight.

Over several nights a loud screaming vocalization was heard around 9 p.m. and the uncles repeatedly chased the source uphill. One uncle confronted a very tall hair-covered biped at close range and fired over its head, while later nights brought a spotlight glimpse of a large dark mass, a small 4-foot figure, answering calls from another ridge, uprooted trees and reddish hair tufts, before the activity moved away.

Six coworkers on a seismic crew were eating lunch on a hill when they noticed a dark hair-covered figure moving through timber about 500 yards away. The figure walked upright on two legs with long swinging arms and made muttering sounds before noticing the men, then fled into the timber breaking branches. The men then heard loud screaming and moaning vocalizations from the timber and left the area by helicopter.

The witness was drift-fishing alone at a river bend while a relative fished out of sight. After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. After watching briefly the figure carried the fish away toward the woods, and the witness reeled in and ran to tell the relative, who suggested it was another fisher and did not investigate.

The witness and a companion were driving slowly on a dirt lane through ponderosa pine forest at night when their headlights illuminated a tall hair-covered figure crossing from left to right in front of the car. The figure walked upright with a human-like gait and continued into the woods without looking at or reacting to the car. The witness estimated it at about seven feet tall and 400 pounds with camel-colored hair and a barrel chest.

Two children sitting on a relative's porch at midday watched a large hair-covered biped run out of the woods and across a field. It looked toward them briefly, cleared a barbed-wire fence with ease, then vanished behind a pond into the trees while dipping to miss a branch. The pair rushed indoors to tell adults, who told them it was likely a bear.

The witness was home alone in the evening watching television when a tall dark figure blocked a small window and then walked around to the back door area. He remained still on the couch and watched it look toward the woods, at the ground, and down at him through plastic-covered windows before it left. He then got a firearm and checked outside but found nothing. The next morning a large three-toed footprint was found in a dusty spot beside the trailer.

They watched it for about 10 to 15 seconds before it went into the bayhead. Afterwards they found a lingering foul odor and bent grass at the spot but no bare dirt for tracks, and did not follow it.
