While hunting with friends and dogs at night, something crashed through the woods, circled them, and followed them to the truck, then breathed and moved alongside them when they returned. Next morning the guest retrieved the dog and saw a white to dirty-gray creature standing in the logging road. It followed him across a field to a cabin and back to his truck.

As they made a turn on an S-curve, their headlights lit up a large hairy human-like figure walking along the hillside at the roadside about 40 yards ahead. In winter 1985, the witness and a companion were walking in deep snow near a closed attraction when they saw a large brown human-looking biped about 150 feet away. The creature paused to look at them, then walked away quickly with a long stride while glancing back. The witnesses were frightened, tried briefly to follow and look for footprints, but found none.

Two companions hunting grouse in a remote swampy forest heard repeated loud howls and sensed a large animal moving nearby. They left their birds behind and headed toward the exit trail while the animal paralleled them through dense brush, stopping when they stopped. In a backlit clearing they observed the full outline of a tall, dark, hair-covered biped that crossed difficult terrain with remarkable speed. The animal ceased following as they reached a more traveled ridge trail.

Two companions searching for arrowheads in a cornfield noticed a dark stationary shape in the fencerow that resembled a topped-off tree. One experienced a strong feeling of being watched and thought the shape appeared to grin. They left the area and when they returned the shape was gone; follow-up characterized it as a massive, very hairy motionless animal over six feet tall.

A military policeman and four squadmates were guarding a burned helicopter crash site overnight in forested mountain terrain. Around 10 p.m. they heard loud howl-like screams from near the wreckage and advanced with a flashlight. They reported seeing three tall hair-covered bipeds scavenging the wreckage and dragging remains, then fired handguns blindly after the light was dropped. They held position until dawn, found no bodies or blood, and left without telling the crash investigators.

Three youths hunting squirrels with slingshots encountered a tall, dark-haired human-like animal about 15-20 yards away and watched it for about two minutes. The animal shifted position and made a cough-like vocalization, after which the youths fled to a camper. They returned the next morning with a relative and found only smashed vegetation where it had stood.

From a kitchen window she watched a large reddish-brown hairy biped run toward a creek for about 30 seconds before it jumped from a drop-off into the creek and headed into the ravine. Later that day she found skid-like slip marks and toe impressions on the trail where it had run.

Across the river in bright moonlight the witness saw a large bipedal creature shaking a big pine tree, then running in an arc into the woods. The next morning the witness and a companion found large four-toed tracks in the sand where the creature had run.

The witness was driving alone on the Trans Canada Highway in the early morning when a very large hair-covered man-like animal crossed the road ahead. The animal paused in the ditch and appeared to look for traffic before taking long strides across the highway and down the opposite ditch. The witness looked into the forest where it went but could not relocate it because it moved fast into dense trees.

A fisherman was driving out on a dirt road by a river after dark with headlights on while his dog ran ahead. The headlights revealed an upright animal standing in the road ahead, which then dropped to all fours and ran out of sight. The dog ran back to the truck and jumped in through an opened door, and the witness drove away without getting out.
