The witness's car broke down at night and the witness worked on it. While getting back into the car, the witness saw a very large upright hairy human-like figure standing at a fence line in a field about fifty yards away. The figure was described as curious, showing neither aggression nor fear.

The next day large five-toed tracks were found at the well and most of the guts were gone.

The witness and a companion were driving past a grassy roadside area in the early evening when they noticed a dark-haired creature squatted in the grass beside the road with its back to them. The creature kept its head down and appeared to search through the grass with its hands, showing no concern for the passing car. The witnesses turned the car around for another look, but the creature had left, and they did not get out to investigate.

When the witnesses stopped to watch, the beings dropped the object, fell to the ground, and tried unsuccessfully to hide in brush. The witnesses drove a short distance to turn around for a better view, and on returning about a minute later the beings and the object were gone.

The sighting occurred less than a mile from a lake bank where the witness and three companions had heard an unidentified scream and crashing sounds the previous year, which the witness now links to the same kind of animal.
