A fisherman's encounter along a trail near Patison Lake
The witness was walking back from fishing with a dog on a dirt road through woods and Christmas tree farms when a large brown figure was seen moving through young trees. The figure crossed a gap and the road close to the witness, described as upright on two legs and covered in long hair, moving quickly and quietly. The dog stayed close with raised hair and whined, and the witness ran across the young trees rather than continuing on the road.

After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. After watching briefly the figure carried the fish away toward the woods, and the witness reeled in and ran to tell the relative, who suggested it was another fisher and did not investigate.

In fall 1983 five children playing in a driveway noticed a pastured buffalo act spooked, then a tall dark biped across a creek and field. The witness stared at what looked like a dark stump under a tree that then ran bipedally with long swinging arms before turning back toward the woods when the children screamed. The next day they found flattened grass but no footprints where it had run and where it entered the woods on a deer path.

Two men were driving a truck down a mountain road in the Cascades after midnight in light snow when they noticed a bipedal figure beside the road. The figure crouched behind a small shrub, then ran upslope with long strides and disappeared. The men drove to a nearby town for coffee and later returned to search for tracks but left quickly.
Hunter observes trio of animals near Nestor Peak Lookout
While hunting at dawn in the Nestor Peak area in fall 1982, the witness watched a smaller hairy biped notice him, scream and crouch to hide. A much larger similar animal then approached, touched the smaller one, and stared at the witness while breathing heavily, before the two walked uphill. A third slightly smaller animal joined them at the ridgetop and all three disappeared over the hill into the canyon.

The witness was driving east on Highway 101 after work when headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure. The figure crossed the four-lane highway north to south in a few rapid, fluid strides, glanced toward the vehicle, and disappeared into tall dry grass toward the foothills.

The witness and a companion were descending from a mountain summit in the afternoon when the witness noticed a dark humanlike figure standing in the pass above them. The witness, then nine years old, was traveling with family on Highway 141 to collect rocks on the morning Mount St. Helens erupted. From about 200 yards away the witness saw a very tall, big brown figure run across the highway in two steps with arms swinging during an observation of about two seconds. The parents, who were looking out the side windows, did not see the figure.

In spring 1980 the witness was working with a tree-planting crew on state land along the Columbia River when the crew noticed two upright figures walking side by side in a valley below. The crew first thought they were bears but rejected that because the figures walked upright in stride. The pair continued walking together for a long distance while the crew watched.

Two people hunting elk with muzzle-loaders waited by a river until near dark and then started hiking out along the river. The person in the lead came face-to-face at very close range with a tall creature with glowing red eyes. The creature turned and left silently within seconds, and the pair waited before hiking out to their truck.

A child playing a night game ran behind a maintenance shed and heard gravel move. About ten feet away, a huge dark figure crouched at chained garbage cans rose smoothly to stand very tall. The witness fled to tell adults, who suggested it was a bear or a person watching the children.
Close range daylight encounter involving two young teenage sisters near Fort Lewis
Two sisters had stopped with family in woods for a bathroom break while driving home from a camping trip and were walking back to their truck when they turned to see a large hairy figure leaning against a tree about 20 feet away watching them. They walked quickly back to the truck without running. When the witness grabbed a camera to photograph it, the figure was gone, and their father dismissed the report and told them to leave.

The witness was driving south in a delivery truck in daylight when he noticed a large dark figure standing motionless by the roadside ahead. As he approached, the figure turned away and disappeared into dense timber within a few steps, swinging its arms. The witness slowed but did not stop to search, and the sedan ahead did not appear to react.
Daylight observation from Beacon Rock, along the Columbia River
From atop Beacon Rock, the witness watched a huge black figure climb a railroad bed in two strides and then stride across a pasture toward the river, passing among cows that looked only half its height and seemed undisturbed. A smaller figure that moved on all fours trailed behind it. The larger figure squatted for a time at a tributary before crossing back across the meadow and being lost from view.

As an 11-year-old the witness was playing piano alone in the living room at night when she felt watched and turned to see a hairy biped looking in through a large picture window. She froze and then screamed, and the creature reacted with surprise and fled on two legs. Her father saw its back as it fled, and relatives in a camper outside also saw it run past toward a field and creek.
Late night sighting on Highway 101 in between Forks and Kalaloch
The witness was riding as a passenger on a late-night drive between Forks and Kalaloch when she noticed a small upright figure standing on the right shoulder. As the car passed very close, she looked directly at its face for a few seconds while it stood still with its arms moving in front of its face. A companion who was driving did not see it. She later came to believe it was a young Sasquatch and stated it was not any known regional animal.

After hiking, the witness was driving back toward the highway in early afternoon when a tall dark humanlike figure crossed the road about 50 yards ahead. The figure continued up a very steep bank while remaining upright. The witness was alone and stated it was not a bear and that they had never seen such a creature before or since.
