Boy scouts see a tall creature walking fluidly while hiking at night
Three camp counselors were walking a trail at night when the narrator saw a tall, dark bipedal figure moving across a slope on the far side of a stream about 50-60 ft away. The figure passed near the group without answering their shouts, and a companion heard a rock-clacking stepping sound as it moved toward the stream ahead of them. The frightened group retreated to trees, waited until about 1 a.m., then continued out armed with sticks, finding no tracks afterward.

Late at night on July 4th while camping behind a relative's house, the witness left the campsite with a flashlight to use the bathroom. About a minute down the trail, a large dark-furred biped crossed the trail about 20 feet away, paused to look at the witness after the witness gasped, then walked away. The witness dropped the flashlight, ran back to camp panicked, and later declined to sleep outside.

The figure walked east across the highway in front of the car with swinging arms while the witness slowed, and his wife also saw it. The figure stepped off into dune pines and they continued driving without stopping.

The creature turned to look at them, showed yellow eye shine, took a few steps across the lane and disappeared. Frightened, the driver failed to turn around, backed out to the main road, and drove into town.
