When the witness was about 10 years old, they accompanied a friend and the friend's mother to a small cemetery to visit a grave. After placing flowers, the group heard a crash at the woods edge and saw a large dark hairy creature standing behind the back fence about 50 yards away. The creature grunted and shuffled back into the woods, and the group quickly got in the car and left.

The witness's father and a companion were fishing at Chambers Creek when a large hairy creature estimated at eight to ten feet tall appeared before them and roared while displaying its arms. Frightened, the two men ran to the truck and drove back to town. The account notes the creature was reportedly seen by others afterward.

The witness and her younger sister were talking in a dark bedroom late at night when they heard twigs crunching outside. Looking out the window in bright moonlight, they saw a very large hairy bipedal animal in the yard. Their grandfather came to the room, knocked out the window screen and fired a rifle at it. The animal bellowed, ran on two legs and stepped over a barbed-wire fence toward a creek, and no sign was found the next day.

Two hunters reported seeing a tall upright creature burst from dense brush carrying a calf in its arms. The men left the area and later returned at dusk with two other men to find a dead calf with entrails removed and disturbed brush nearby. A state trooper pulled over a truck for speeding and the occupants shouted about a wolf, grabbed back identification and fled. As the trooper returned to his car, a huge wolf stepped out of the woods standing on two legs and snarling. He fired three pistol shots with no effect, fled, later refused to leave his car on that road, believed it followed him, began drinking heavily and died of alcohol poisoning.

After dogs ran toward the woods and quickly returned, the witness saw a tall two-legged figure with broad shoulders and a round head walk behind the shed. He compared it to his brother and estimated about seven feet tall. Both he and his wife then heard heavy footsteps moving through leaves toward them, which stopped as they talked.
