The witness reports driving north on a highway and noticing a gray, hair-covered figure across the river near a creek inlet. After pulling into a turnout, the witness watched the figure repeatedly bend from the hips while appearing to move rocks or forage in the water. The figure then stood upright and looked toward the witness before resuming its activity, and the witness left before it did.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the morning when a figure crossed the road ahead. The witness stopped and watched a tall, reddish-brown haired, human-like and ape-like figure standing about 50 feet away facing him for about five minutes. A family staying at a remote pack station heard a high-pitched whooping call for many minutes that seemed to approach and then pass toward a wilderness trail. The daughter went to the access road to meet the caller and saw a large, hair-covered, unclothed being with a long beard, long arms and a big mouth walking quickly past. She said it did not see her and was not vocalizing when seen. The next morning the family found a few possible wide-toed prints in the dust at the spot she indicated.

The witness was fishing from a boat with two young companions on Riffe Lake late in the morning when they spotted a large hairy biped about 150 yards away in a clearcut. They watched for several minutes as it walked away, paused to face and stare at them, then continued walking while looking back before disappearing into timber. On a clear sunny afternoon in August 2002, the witness was commuting to work when a reddish-brown creature with long arms emerged from the woods. The creature crossed the road in about three steps, glanced toward the witness, and continued up the opposite bank. While staying alone at the campsite to tend the fire and collecting wood, he noticed something in the bushes that he first took for a bear and then for a person. The witness returned to the campsite and did not tell his companions what he had seen at the time.

A driver and a companion were driving north on Highway 109 near Moclips in evening light when a stocky, dark brownish animal crossed the road in front of the truck. The animal then ran on all fours in the roadside ditch, keeping pace with the truck at about 35 mph for about 10-15 seconds before disappearing. Both occupants watched it but could not identify it, noting longer front legs, uniform hair, and no snout or tail.
