The witness and her boyfriend were driving slowly on a gravel road toward a cabin cookout. She caught movement in the passenger mirror, turned to look out the back, and both saw a tall black-furred biped take two long strides from one roadside into brush and vanish. They drove on in shock without speaking and later told family, but a medical emergency overshadowed the report.

During the annual week-long elk hunt with his long-time hunting partner, the witness waited in a concealed roadside alcove while his partner still-hunted the opposite side of a brushy clearcut canyon and reported via radio a dark upright figure moving toward the witness. The figure crossed the road about 30 yards from the witness in a few silent steps and dropped into the canyon, after which both hunters left for camp. After returning on ATVs to measure a branch the figure had passed under they saw the figure standing across the canyon watching them before it walked into timber, after which they packed up and the witness stopped hunting.

The witness and a companion were playing darts and watching meteors from a relative's yard at night. A roughly five-foot-tall hairy biped jogged across the lit front yard, paused to look at them for a few seconds, then sprinted rapidly into darkness. Both witnesses reported seeing it, while the resident relative did not.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a younger relative driving at dusk when a tall dark brown hair-covered upright creature came from a ditch and crossed the road in front of them in two leaps without touching the pavement. The driver was so frightened she stopped, switched seats, and had the witness drive home. The pair estimated the creature at seven to eight feet tall.

The witness got up at night and saw a bright orange ball of light streak over the house and city. The next morning the witness's sister said she had seen the same thing that night from her own residence. They found a newspaper note of at least seven others reporting the same thing.

The witness was driving northbound on Sly Park Road before dawn when the high beams revealed a large animal standing on two legs beside the road. The animal dropped to all fours, crossed to the opposite side into roadside brush, then watched the vehicle from the brush where its face was seen close to the passenger window. The witness later estimated its height at about eight feet based on the roadside drop-off and concluded it was not a bear.

A couple driving slowly at night in snow claim a very tall, dark, massive figure crossed the highway in front of their truck and nearby cars while illuminated by headlights. They said it covered the road in only three to four long strides and then vanished to the west side. After a pause they agreed to each other that it had looked like bigfoot.

During deer season in November 2002, the witness was walking a road near Phillips looking for deer when he saw an upright figure coming toward him. He first thought it was a black bear but, viewing it through a rifle scope from about 200 yards, concluded it was man-like and not a bear or human. When the witness crouched, the figure stopped then ran on two legs into an alder swamp, leaping over water and moving quickly through difficult bog ground.

The witness was hunting deer alone on a frozen mountain road in the morning when he noticed a black figure walking upright toward him from about 300 yards away. After it closed to about 250 yards it appeared to notice him, then crouched and leapt clear across the road into dense trees and disappeared. He waited and later searched the road edge and treeline but found no tracks, noting the ground was frozen.

A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.
