Early morning sighting by newspaper deliverer near Mountain View
Early one lightly snowing morning in November 2005 the witness was driving a newspaper route into Mountain View when she saw a large bulky biped walking toward her and crossing the road diagonally toward brushy trees. She drove to where it entered the brush and stopped, but saw and heard nothing, though she felt uneasy and stared at. She estimated it was 7 to 9 feet tall, larger than a man, with slightly long arms and its head tipped slightly down.
Evening sighting by motorists on Tyson Road, off Route 100, outside Ludlow
The witness was driving with two relatives in the evening looking for moose. A tall, heavily built, dark-haired bipedal figure crossed the road about 50 feet ahead of the car in two strides. The witness and one relative saw it while the other relative did not. The figure turned its head toward the car as it crossed.

The witness left his truck to hunt squirrels and noticed movement about 175 feet away through brush, fence and creek. What first looked like a large flapping turkey stood up on two legs and ran very fast and quietly, followed by a larger reddish animal that briefly stumbled then sprinted after it into thick brush toward the swamp. The witness crossed to the spot, found only soft indentations, followed briefly toward the swamp, then left after becoming frightened that the animals might have circled behind him.

A group of seven hikers were hiking on a mountain trail in the afternoon. They heard cackling, yelping, growling and moaning sounds and found the trail blocked by a large uprooted stump with placed boulders and smashed trees. Two upright figures, one black and one light brown and hairy, were seen moving parallel to the group and leaping down a cliff, while the group felt stalked and watched as they hurried out to the road.
Nighttime sighting by motorist near Jarrel Cove State Park
The witness was driving with a companion toward a campsite at night when the truck's high beams lit up a tall hairy biped beside the road. The figure did not turn toward the vehicle and climbed up a hillside out of view within seconds. The pair continued to camp, where the witness later heard prolonged howling calls while the companion slept.
Possible sighting by duck hunter near Wakaw
The witness had been duck hunting and got his truck stuck in mud, then started walking to find help. While walking along a grid road in rain he saw a large broad-shouldered figure move very fast into a treed valley and disappear after a few strides. At the apparent crossing point he found a single large water-filled footprint. Earlier that day he had found seven dead birds packed under a crop swath a few hundred yards away.

The witness was driving north on Route 271 near a ski resort around 6 p.m. on a clear day when an upright, hairy figure was seen at the top of a hill. The figure had its back turned and walked away toward a tree line and thick woods during a sighting lasting only a few seconds. The witness felt the figure was neither a man nor a bear, recalling dark brown hair that looked matted in places.

The witness was driving an ATV with his brother as passenger along a wooded ridge trail at dusk to check a soybean field for deer. The passenger noticed a tall white figure to the left of the trail, and the driver stopped within about 50 yards to look at it. The two stared at the figure briefly before the driver looked down at the ATV controls, and when he looked up the figure was running away through the woods.

The witness and a companion were scouting in a state forest when they noticed a strong foul odor. They saw an upright figure down a trail, watched it kneel in palmettos staring at them for many minutes, then saw it stand and cross the trail followed by a smaller similar figure into dense brush. They later found two footprints larger than the witness's foot.
Early evening sighting in backyard on the FL/GA border, north of Tallahassee
On September 18, 2005, the witness observed a large hairy creature walking upright through the backyard for about a minute. The creature was described as over six feet tall with a pointed head and moving very fast. The witness felt the creature wanted to be seen.

The witness and a friend camped in a van at a gravel turnaround in the national forest. Through the night gravel hit the van roof, brush crashed on different sides of the hill, and eyeshine appeared downhill. Shining a spotlight revealed a tall, thick ape-like figure staring up that they then fled from.

The witness was walking with a dog to a tree fort by a creek when the dog growled. The witness saw a reddish-haired female creature squatting and drinking, which then stood, looked at the witness and dog, smiled, jumped across the creek, and climbed a steep hill grabbing trees.
Husband and wife looking at fall colors have daytime sighting in Spanish Fork Canyon area
A couple stopped at a trailhead to view fall colors and felt uneasy while standing outside their vehicle. After getting into the vehicle, the wife watched a hairy human-shaped figure squatting on a flat for an extended time, while the husband briefly saw it run fast on a hunch into thick oaks. They left quickly, and the husband returned later that evening and found disturbed leaves and torn ground where it had gone.

After two relatives reported a roadside figure, the witness joined them and an uncle in a van to spotlight nearby wheat fields the same night. They watched an apelike figure first on all fours that then sat for several minutes before standing on two legs, with two additional sets of eyeshine behind it. The group left to contact authorities, later noted a strong urine-like odor, received a distant bellowing reply to an imitated howl, and searched with a game warden until morning.

The witness was sitting on the front porch of a relative's trailer with a young child on a sunny mid-afternoon when a 4- to 6-foot bipedal figure covered in long white hair walked through the adjoining field into the yard. The figure walked past a short decorative fence, looked toward the witness and met her gaze, then continued around a garage out of sight during about five minutes of observation. A dog on the porch barked timidly throughout but the figure showed no reaction or aggression.
Motorhome driver reports sighting around 7am near Jasper
The witness was driving a motorhome toward Jasper Park in the early morning when he saw a tall dark-haired figure walking down a hydro clearing toward the highway. The figure took a few steps and stopped at the roadside as the vehicle passed it on the passenger side. The witness's family was asleep and no one else saw it, and he did not photograph it or return to the spot.

While camping alone at night near a stream, the witness heard a deep growl and saw a crouched dark mass at the treeline, fired warning shots, then heard rocks repeatedly splashing in the stream for hours and heard deep oof sounds on a later approach. Near dawn a very tall hair-covered female-like figure stood by the tent and walked rapidly toward the witness despite additional warning shots, then ran away over granite and out of sight. The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

The witness was driving east on Highway 96 at night with his daughter when headlights caught a hairy biped coming down an embankment toward the road. He stopped and watched it take a few long strides to the centerline, look toward the car, then leap off the pavement and disappear. He described it as about six feet tall, very stocky with long arms and dark brown hair, and noted its eyes did not reflect like deer eyes.
Possible daytime road-crossing by a juvenile outside Esto
While driving to work in the morning, the witness saw a large reddish-brown long-haired animal crossing the road on all fours. The animal moved smoothly and unhurriedly to the opposite side and disappeared into thick vegetation near a creek. The witness noted a flat human-like chest, head set directly on the shoulders, and knuckle-walking, and interpreted it as a juvenile.
Possible moonlight sighting by prospector outside Metaline Falls City
In July 2005 the witness woke at night in a prospecting camp and smelled wet fur. The witness then watched a large figure cross a creek about 20 feet away for about 10 minutes until it stepped behind a tree and disappeared after a truck bed light was switched on. A relative was present at the camp but did not see the figure.
