Motorists Observe Creature Along Trans-Canada Highway
A couple driving on Highway 2 between Moncton and Sackville in June 2006 saw a dark bipedal figure cross a clearing about 100 yards away. The figure moved with long strides and outstretched arms, appeared 6-7 feet tall with a stocky build and dark fur, and showed no clothes or facial features. Both occupants watched it for several seconds as it traveled between forested areas.

The witness was driving back down a dirt road from a high lake in the eastern Sierras when a large black creature crossed the road in front of him. He first thought it was a person in a costume, but as it came back across he saw muscle movement under dark fur and black feet and face. He concluded it was a young, real animal and did not think the nearby people or drivers saw it.

The witness and his young child were turkey hunting in the morning when the witness noticed movement about 600 yards away. He watched through binoculars a tall dark figure walking upright through open grass for a minute or more before it disappeared into brush behind a rise. He estimated it was 6-7 feet tall and covered several hundred meters quickly without running.

On April 29, 2006 the witness was driving southbound on an unfamiliar road after leaving a mall when a deer bolted across the road in front of the car. A dark bipedal figure about six feet tall immediately followed in fast pursuit of the deer across the road and into trees and swamp on the other side. The entire chase lasted under 20 seconds, with exaggerated arm swing and speed that seemed exceptional for uneven terrain.

The witness and a companion were leaving home by car in the morning when they noticed a tall black hair-covered biped walking away down a dirt road. They watched it alternate between the road and ditch until it entered the woods out of sight. Afterward a relative and another person found multiple footprints along the road and photographed the clearest track.
Possible sighting by motorists south of Green Lake
The witness family was driving between Green Lake and Big River around midday when they noticed a very tall brownish-red figure that had crossed the highway. The figure moved across the ditch in a few long, fluid strides with a forward-leaning posture and entered thick bush where it disappeared from view. Occupants of a green caravan traveling ahead appeared to have seen the same figure.

The witness was driving on Highway 32 at dusk when she noticed a small dark-haired animal at the roadside eating from a trash bag in the ditch. As she approached and honked, the animal rose onto its hind legs and ran hunched over into an adjacent field. She stopped to search with her headlights but could not relocate it.

The witness was driving west on a highway in Taney County, Missouri on a sunny afternoon when he noticed a large black biped standing by a large tree about 50 yards from the road. He described it as at least nine feet tall and very wide, with long thick fur and a conical head set tight to the shoulders, and was certain it was not a bear. He drove back the next day, saw nothing, and took the absence as confirmation the figure had been real.

While riding ATVs, the witness and two companions came around a corner and saw a large dark upright figure standing on the trail ahead watching them. As they approached closer, the figure turned and jogged into the woods beside the trail. They went to the spot where it entered the woods and found several large footprints in the sand but did not see it again.

The witness was driving alone at night on a two-lane highway when the headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure standing on the edge line. The figure stayed motionless and stiff as the car passed very close, with the sighting lasting about ten seconds. The witness continued driving without stopping and later told relatives, who were skeptical.

The witness was riding in a car with two relatives to launch a boat when they noticed roadside onlookers with cameras and binoculars. The witness then saw a tall, muscular, dark-furred figure standing in shallow water near trees about 50 yards from the road. The witness was driving slowly through S-turns on Highway 199 late at night with high beams on. The headlights illuminated a very large hairy biped walking on the opposite side of the road facing away. The witness watched it for a few seconds while passing close by but did not turn around for a frontal view because of the narrow canyon road and fear. The witness continued driving and later documented the sighting.

The witness was driving southwest on the parkway near mile marker 307 at sunset with a companion in the car. He saw a solid black biped about four to five feet tall moving along the roadside, which then sprinted between his car and an oncoming vehicle. The figure lost its footing at the road edge, steadied itself with its arms, and disappeared into the woods within seconds. The companion did not see it.

The witness and two companions were walking near a bonfire when they saw a dark figure run across a horse field. The figure was inside the fence line and reportedly cleared a 5-foot fence at the end of the field. It was viewed from about 60 feet for about 7 seconds and described as nearly 6 feet tall, about 265 lbs, and all black.

The witness and a relative were at their workplace near forest and a creek when the relative called the witness to the back door. They watched a large black hairy bipedal creature run very fast down a hill toward the woods. The sighting lasted about ten seconds from about two hundred feet away.

A man in a blue tracksuit and sunglasses came out of the woods and jumped straight up onto a tall rock without bending his knees, landing in a frog-like crouch with his head bobbing. Startled, the witness turned around and rode back to the truck, seeing the figure still perched on the rock as he left.
