The witness was cleaning cabins at a camp and walking to inspect another cabin when a loud crack in the brush drew attention. About 40 feet away, a hair-covered bipedal creature was seen walking through the brush. The witness followed it a short distance until it disappeared behind a cabin and went silent in thicker brush.

Around 3:30 a.m. on a bright moonlit night, the witness saw a large figure squatting by the back deck, apparently looking in the windows. The witness chased the figure into the woods but lost it. On returning, the witness realized its head had cleared a nearby shed, suggesting it was much taller than the witness's own 6-foot-2 frame, which left the witness badly frightened.

Hearing steady rock-rolling sounds, he approached quietly and watched a slender hairy female and two small juveniles foraging among rocks and putting items in their mouths. A much larger female then emerged and caught a small rodent, which a huge male rushed out to snatch and eat. After the animals stood and scanned the treeline while sniffing deeply, the witness radioed a bear alert, a helicopter buzzed the area scattering the group, and he returned to the helipad where the pilot said others had reported similar encounters.

The creature looked at them, took two steps up an embankment and disappeared. The next morning she and a relative found flattened grass, clearings, and tracks leading into the woods but were too frightened to follow them.

The figure rotated to keep its side toward the vehicle, then turned to face it before running south across the road with a forward lean and pumping arms. The witness turned back and searched the median for about 30 minutes but found only grass and no tree or bush to explain the figure.

On the road they saw a huge black hair-covered figure about forty to fifty feet away that at first looked like a man. After exchanging looks, the figure sprinted away on two feet across the road into the woods, moving much faster than a human.

The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

The witness was driving at night near Monkey Mountain when a tall, very thin creature crossed the road in front of the vehicle in about three unhurried strides. The creature came from a steep hillside heading toward river areas and did not appear to notice the vehicle. It was described as about seven feet tall with sparse, long grayish hair, leaning forward as it walked.

While driving to work before dawn on a logging road, the witness encountered a dark figure on the road and initially assumed it was a bear. As headlights illuminated it, the figure was seen running bipedally down the road for about 100 feet before veering off through a ditch and up a bank into bushes. The witness described a tall, dark-haired, unclothed biped with lighter patches on its back and rump that never looked back. Later that day the witness found and photographed indistinct footprints at the site.

The witness was returning down the canyon after fishing and exploring when a tall, dark, muscular creature crossed the road toward a meadow. It was watched for a few strides with a bent, arm-swinging gait, then seen crossing back at a slower pace as if avoiding an oncoming truck and people in the meadow. The witness believed they were the only observer and later found large tracks on a return visit.

The animal was described as about 9 to 10 feet tall with a bear-like, barrel-chested body standing upright, dark hair, and a wolf-like face with red glowing eyes. After watching for about two minutes from about 200 yards away, the driver turned the vehicle around and took a different route.

A group of teenage girls doing shoreline cleanup heard loud screaming from the woods and then saw a hair-covered biped emerge from a marsh onto the beach. The creature appeared startled, took cover behind driftwood, and watched them from a crouch for several minutes. The frightened group fled to their van and left the beach.
