The witness and a companion were walking down an old pulpwood road with a dog when they noticed a strong goat-like odor and heard rustling and a tree shaking. The witness pulled back branches and saw a tall, hair-covered biped running away downhill on two legs. The companion did not see the creature. The witness lost sight of it in pines and underbrush near a swampy area.

The witness, then a child, was walking from a cornfield to a nearby house to fetch water for a cousin. At a dirt road she came within about 10 feet of two small, hairy, human-like figures standing together on the opposite side. They looked at each other for about a minute before she ran to the house, and the figures were gone when she walked back.

As a child walking home from a relative's house, the witness saw a tall hairy figure standing in a roadside ditch watching him. A follow-up interview added size and appearance details and noted missing pets and livestock near the home.
