The witness was driving on Highway 32 at dusk when she noticed a small dark-haired animal at the roadside eating from a trash bag in the ditch. As she approached and honked, the animal rose onto its hind legs and ran hunched over into an adjacent field. She stopped to search with her headlights but could not relocate it.

The witness was hiking a logging trail beside a meadow when he mistook a stooped animal digging in an uprooted tree for a bear and called out while drawing a handgun. The animal stood to about seven feet, showed raised hair that settled after he holstered the weapon, and fixated on the yellow towel around his neck, which he tossed toward it before backing away. Turning, he faced a much larger second individual about ten feet away and fainted, waking minutes later to find both gone, the towel missing, and a folded leaf with grubs inside his cap.

He did not stop because the road was on a steep downgrade with a sharp curve and no shoulder.

The witness was driving east in the early morning to go mushroom hunting when a large dark hairy animal crossed the road toward a cedar thicket. The animal was estimated at six feet tall, with heavy shoulders and a human-like walk with swinging arms, then hurried and ran into cover. The witness stopped with the engine off to listen, heard nothing, then continued on and avoided stopping at the crossing site on the way home.

About seven years ago a group camping near a secluded lake sat around a campfire late at night. A small bipedal figure about four feet tall emerged from the woods, ran toward the lake in moonlight, circled while waving its arms and vocalizing, then ran back into the woods. The figure appeared to be climbing, with an arm extended overhead gripping a branch and a leg raised. After a brief stare-down the witness dropped their fishing pole and ran about a half-mile to their car and drove home, and states they have never returned to the spot.

A young couple parked on a dirt lane at night turned on their car headlights and saw an upright, hair-covered creature standing ahead of them. The creature turned to look at them, showed yellow eye shine, took a few steps across the lane and disappeared. Frightened, the driver failed to turn around, backed out to the main road, and drove into town.

Two companions walking a hillside trail at night heard a loud snap and saw two large bipedal figures silhouetted against city lights. After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.

One stood braced between trees swaying side to side and watching him while the other stayed on hands and knees appearing to dig for crawdads.
