A deer hunter in scent-masking clothes and a ghillie suit was set up on a rock overlooking a saddle at daybreak. A large dark ape-like animal threw a stick that landed behind him, then charged after he shouted and pointed his muzzleloader. He fired in front of it to deter it; it stopped, stood, grunted, and a smaller one emerged crying before both left. He abandoned his gear and found it ransacked the next day.

The witness was driving an ATV with his brother as passenger along a wooded ridge trail at dusk to check a soybean field for deer. The passenger noticed a tall white figure to the left of the trail, and the driver stopped within about 50 yards to look at it. The two stared at the figure briefly before the driver looked down at the ATV controls, and when he looked up the figure was running away through the woods.

The witness noticed movement across the river about 75 yards away and saw a reddish-orange quadrupedal animal with a pale face that looked toward him before climbing over a downed treetop and disappearing. He tried to film it but captured only the shaking branch. Deer on the witnesses' side of the river would not cross the water.

The witness was driving to work in the morning while watching for deer. From the road the witness saw a tall black-haired figure standing at the edge of the woods in a creek bottom area watching the vehicle pass. The witness slowed but did not stop, and the figure remained standing without acting aggressive. The witness has watched for it since but has not seen it again.

In April 2005 the witness was looking out a doctor's office window toward a rock cliff when he saw a tall, thin brown creature. The creature walked slumped over on two legs, moving three times between the cliff edge and the treeline before disappearing. A second person in the office also saw it, but it was gone before others could be shown it.

In August 2003 the witness left relatives fishing to hunt ginseng on a ridge near Yatesville Lake. He claimed hearing wood-like knocks and rocks moving through the trees, then seeing a large upright hair-covered figure watching him from across a hollow. He said he spoke to it, then hurried down the mountain hearing crunching steps and more thrown rocks behind him, and then packed his family out of the area.

As a 12-13 year old helping his uncle clear trees, the guest sat on a tractor watching a dozer. He heard an extremely loud roar from the ravine behind him that drowned out the equipment and scattered deer and other animals. He then saw a large black figure watching from an abandoned barn doorway for 25-30 minutes, later pacing the doorway to estimate it at 8-8.5 feet tall.

The figure regarded the car and walked steadily across the road into mature corn without hurrying. The witness stopped near a telephone pole and watched it cross in a few strides and enter the field.

The witness was driving alone late at night on Interstate 75 south of Cincinnati when headlights illuminated a tall dark-furred bipedal figure standing in a recess of a road cut. The figure, estimated at 6 to 6.5 feet tall, stood motionless with arms raised to shoulder height and stared at the car for a few seconds as the witness passed within about 15-20 feet. The witness described an angry humanlike face without a bear-like muzzle and felt frightened.

Late at night the witness was driving home with a relative as passenger on a two-lane wooded road. A very tall, lanky, dark-haired figure crossed from one side of the road to the other in about two and a half steps. Two people were sitting in a parked car by the lake late at night when they saw a large hairy figure approaching on the road. After turning on the headlights the figure ran into the woods, followed by a strong animal odor, loud crashing and scream-like vocalizations. A log was then thrown with enough force to move their car, prompting them to drive away.

Late at night while camping for deer season, a companion who walked over a hill to a creek reported seeing a tall figure drinking that then stood and watched him, prompting him to run back to camp. The group then packed up and left the woods.

Five teenagers camped overnight under a cliff overhang in the national forest. Around midnight they heard heavy bipedal footsteps approach and stop behind a large poplar tree below the camp. Two of them used flashlights to watch red eyeshine peeking from the tree, then the creature stepped fully into view for about ten seconds before retreating behind the tree and later leaving diagonally through the hollow making huffing sounds.

A very large black bipedal figure chasing the deer ran past at close range, knocked down a rotted tree, and continued into the pines. Several people witness 7 to 8 foot tall creature on an old mining road
A group of eight people were raccoon hunting with dogs when the dogs returned frightened with tails tucked. Shortly after starting to drive out, they saw a huge standing figure ahead of the truck estimated at 7.5 to 8 feet tall and dark in color. After backing up and later returning on foot, they found a large human-like footprint in mud in the road. They heard sticks breaking, left quickly, later returned to find the track destroyed by their vehicle, and subsequent visits produced no further sightings.
