After leaving Mesa Verde and hiking canyons for days, the guest camped at an ancient fire ring. The first night he heard voices and whispered footsteps pass by. The second night he woke to see a transparent old Indigenous man sitting by his fire, who then vanished.

They noticed a strong odor and then saw a small black hairy figure sitting on the opposite bank throwing rocks into the water. As he approached he saw something crouched just beyond the site that jumped up and ran away on two feet. He awoke to see a large dark face staring through the passenger window, its breath fogging the glass, which rose and grimaced as he reacted. He turned on all emergency and spot lights, watched a tall stooped wide-shouldered figure walk behind the cruiser and out of the light, then drove out and returned to find it gone.

They found a small pine snapped off at seven feet and thrown, with large tracks showing toe dig and a six-foot stride. While driving down the mountain the witness looked down into an open area and saw a huge hair-covered Bigfoot with one arm around a tree watching them pass.
