The witness, then about seven, was playing outside with her twin sister and two large dogs on a gravel road. The dogs began barking aggressively, and the witness saw a large hair-covered creature step from the woods and walk across the road about 200 feet away. It paused, turned its whole torso toward the children, then continued into the tree line. The frightened children ran to a neighbor's house, and the witness's mother later suggested it was a Bigfoot, which the witness confirmed from a magazine photo weeks later.

In the 1970s in Pennsylvania a landed or hovering orb was approached by a man and two neighbor kids who then saw two Bigfoot-like beings along a fence. Shots with tracer rounds had no effect. Four ape-like animals repeatedly approached the trailers, peered in windows, vocalized at night, left tracks, damaged structures, and killed livestock. Forestry and law-enforcement visitors reportedly told the father to stop shooting, and timber workers and well drillers also encountered the animals.

A driver on a road in Dover noticed a small hairless being with large glowing eyes and long spindly fingers near a stone wall. The driver watched it for several seconds while driving past. The witness later drew what was seen.
Encounter on Toledo Bend
While fishing from a boat near shore, the witness smelled a strong musky odor for several minutes, then spotted a tall hair-covered figure partly hidden behind a short tree at the treeline. The figure remained still for a couple minutes, then stood, stepped into the open to look at the boat, and walked slowly uphill into denser forest. A companion in the boat also smelled the odor but did not see the figure.

Recollection of a daylight sighting while deer hunting near Greenbrier River
In November 1969, the witness and his father were hunting in the morning when the father spotted what he first thought was a bear across a hay field. Both then observed a large brown-haired biped standing at the far fence line for an extended period through a rifle scope and field glasses. The father said he did not know what it was and chose not to shoot, and they returned to camp where he armed himself and kept the witness inside.

Late on a Friday night in October 1969, the witness and a driver were sitting talking in a parked car near woods and a brook. The witness noticed two red eyes in the road ahead, and when headlights were turned on they saw a hairy bipedal figure that stood up and slowly waddled into the woods. The witness ran inside a house while the driver drove away, and later told the witness's mother about the sighting.

The witness was riding in a pickup with a relative scouting timber in a steep mountainous area when a large hairy upright animal crossed the road in front of the truck. The animal came down one bank, crossed in a few fast strides, and went down the opposite slope out of sight while brush broke behind it. The relative stopped and got out with a rifle but could not relocate it.

While running down a steep slope to the water, the witness came within about ten feet of a tall, thin hair-covered figure crouched with its hands and feet on the ground and facing away. The witness immediately ran back up the slope without telling the companion what was seen, and the two then fished for about an hour with no further incident.

Four people were parked in a car on a double date east of Payette Lake at night. A companion warned that something large had circled the car and was now in front of it. When the headlights were turned on, the group saw an upright figure covered in dense black fur standing at the edge of a clearing about 15 feet away. After a second or two it spun on its heels and ran into the woods.

When the witness was ten, the witness and the mother drove at night to assist a relative whose truck had broken down near a creek and woods. Headlights revealed a crouched figure behind a fence watching the relative's truck. The relative and the witness approached on foot with a makeshift light, at which point the figure stood tall on two legs and ran into nearby woods, disappearing within a few steps.
