The witness stopped on a road at night to count deer in a field beside the road and noticed a tall light to medium brown figure with a large upper body standing near one deer. The figure then ran toward the treeline with an uneven gait after apparently noticing it had been seen. The encounter occurred under vehicle headlights at about 25 to 35 feet distance.

The witness was driving home at night when a tall bipedal animal crossed in front of the vehicle and went into the woods across from the house. The animal was described as 7 to 8 feet tall and muscular, covered in matted burgundy to brick-red hair about 4 inches long, with a grayish pale face whose features could not be discerned. The witness thought it might have been scavenging fish along a nearby lake bank.

At a bend he looked down into the creek and saw an upright, furry dark-brown figure standing in mid-water that looked up over its shoulder at the car and then looked away. On the drive back the figure was gone and he later found no stump in that spot, and since then he reports an uneasy watched feeling past about mile eight.

As they got close they could see its face and body clearly, noting it wore no clothes and had a peaked head. It looked toward their car, then turned and walked into the woods up a bank. The two occupants confirmed with each other that they had seen what they called Bigfoot.

They observed large orange glowing eyes about eight feet off the ground behind an oak about 75 yards away for two to three minutes. When the witness shouted, the creature ran off showing its full side profile, and the family was startled by its massive size, massive arms and speed.
