The witness was hiking alone and stopped to rest on a rock ledge overlooking a meadow. An orange-haired bipedal creature emerged from the treeline and foraged on plants for about ten minutes while approaching. After the witness greeted it, the creature stared, then walked away while keeping its eyes on the witness, briefly raising its hand when asked to stay.

The car slid near it and it looked in at the passenger, who felt it was intensely evil. The driver then sped away. The investigator later found smashed grass and clawed toe-ball prints high on the opposite bank and estimated nine feet.

Two children catching fireflies approached a large gray figure standing in a field and illuminated it within about 30 feet. They saw a mostly hairless bearded face, brow ridge, cone head, long arms and a squatting two-legged walk. After their light failed the figure moved to the woodline and they walked home.

The witness was deer hunting with a parent when the parent fired three shots from a nearby holler. The witness moved to the edge of a field, heard talking-like chattering, then saw two quadrupedal hairy animals burst from brush and run toward the witness. Both the witness and the parent fired at the animals, which moved very quickly across the creek bottom and up the opposite ridge.

Around noon, the guest and his then-wife were driving outside town when they saw a huge black triangle with a clipped corner moving high in the sky. About ten to twelve silver disks orbited it clockwise. They stopped with other motorists and watched about ten minutes until it left sight.

The witness, then about 12, was deer hunting with his father, brother and uncles at a mountain camp. Over several nights a loud screaming vocalization was heard around 9 p.m. and the uncles repeatedly chased the source uphill. One uncle confronted a very tall hair-covered biped at close range and fired over its head, while later nights brought a spotlight glimpse of a large dark mass, a small 4-foot figure, answering calls from another ridge, uprooted trees and reddish hair tufts, before the activity moved away.

Six coworkers on a seismic crew were eating lunch on a hill when they noticed a dark hair-covered figure moving through timber about 500 yards away. The figure walked upright on two legs with long swinging arms and made muttering sounds before noticing the men, then fled into the timber breaking branches. The men then heard loud screaming and moaning vocalizations from the timber and left the area by helicopter.

The witness was drift-fishing alone at a river bend while a relative fished out of sight. After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. After watching briefly the figure carried the fish away toward the woods, and the witness reeled in and ran to tell the relative, who suggested it was another fisher and did not investigate.

The witness and a companion were driving slowly on a dirt lane through ponderosa pine forest at night when their headlights illuminated a tall hair-covered figure crossing from left to right in front of the car. The figure walked upright with a human-like gait and continued into the woods without looking at or reacting to the car. The witness estimated it at about seven feet tall and 400 pounds with camel-colored hair and a barrel chest.

The witness was home alone in the evening watching television when a tall dark figure blocked a small window and then walked around to the back door area. He remained still on the couch and watched it look toward the woods, at the ground, and down at him through plastic-covered windows before it left. Two men returned at night to a fenced rural property above Sonora after viewing a motorcycle for sale. A tall, wide human-like figure stepped from brush a short distance away, looked at them, then crossed the clearing toward a shed in a few strides while making a huff sound. One man got into their truck while the other backed onto the hood with a knife, and they later spent a sleepless night guarding the cabin door.

The witness was driving north on US-17 near Holly Ridge around 1 a.m. after a day trip when headlights illuminated a large hairy bipedal figure walking south on the shoulder. After passing, the witness stopped, looked back in the brake lights, and woke a companion who also looked but thought it was a bear.
