The witness was walking in the woods behind a former residence in the early afternoon when hearing a noise and seeing a large dark creature with ape-like and human-like facial features. The creature looked at the witness and then walked away, and the witness ran home. The witness also reported hearing an unfamiliar loud noise like an elephant.
Hunter observes dark figure with swinging arms making long strides
The witness was hunting deer from a tree stand in the afternoon when a dark figure was seen walking along a distant ridge, visible from the waist up. The figure moved with a long stride and high, marching-like arm swings with open hands, then disappeared behind bushes. The witness then heard loud branch-breaking sounds followed by quiet, became uneasy, and left the area.
Sighting by woman in Eagle Meadow, above Strawberry
A woman hunting with her husband from under pine trees across a meadow noticed a dark figure that had not been there minutes earlier. She watched it through binoculars for about 15 minutes, seeing yellow eyes looking back, before leaving for camp without telling her husband why. Her husband, positioned nearby, did not see the figure but reported smelling something awful at the same time.
Hunter hears odd clicking noises while scouting
The witness hiked to a deer stand while hearing repeated groups of clicking sounds for about 45 minutes but could not locate the source on the ridge. While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. The unseen source then made a very loud close grunt and, after the witness chambered a round, a loud guttural scream/grunt. The witness never saw the source.

The witness was tracking elk sign alone in the late afternoon when he smelled a foul odor, felt watched, then saw several large bipedal animals scatter through thick brush and fled back to camp. Around 2 a.m. the whole camping party was awakened by very loud, prolonged yowl-like screams preceded by banging sounds. The party left the area after daybreak.

Late at night while sleeping on sand bars beside the river with a companion, the witness was awakened by limping bipedal footsteps moving on the slope above. A flashlight revealed nothing and the steps resumed, approaching close before loud guttural yelps and moaning described as a cry for help were heard. After remaining awake and still for an extended period the witnesses fell asleep, later heard a large splash in the river, and found no tracks in the morning.

The witness reported walking at night from a campsite toward a bridge along a sandy creek bottom. They found large footprints in the sand and became aware of something large moving through brush with sounds. They also noticed an unusual odor in the area where the sounds occurred.

The witness heard heavy breathing, tried to get out of the moving van to follow but was stopped, and a return to the spot later that day found no trace.

The witness was working late at night at home with windows open. A loud impact-like bang was heard, followed by three or four loud yells described as non-human and unlike a house pet, seemingly coming from woods behind the apartment complex near railroad tracks. The witness felt the yells resembled descriptions of a possible Bigfoot yell heard at a seminar.

The witness camped on a trail in Shenandoah and stayed in the tent all night. He heard unexplained noises throughout the night. He did not see anything and did not know what made the sounds at the time.

A hunter and his son paused on a ridge while elk hunting in the morning after hearing a noise and a snap. The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.

Two people were sitting in a parked car by the lake late at night when they saw a large hairy figure approaching on the road. After turning on the headlights the figure ran into the woods, followed by a strong animal odor, loud crashing and scream-like vocalizations. A log was then thrown with enough force to move their car, prompting them to drive away.

The next morning the guest and nine other soldiers gathered in a church parking lot by the woods for physical training. Something in the woods repeatedly smashed trees with great force, without vocalizations, while the group watched from the curb. After about five minutes the group left, and there was no further sound when they returned.

After hearing an unfamiliar deep yelping sound and then loud wood-splintering, the witness saw a head-and-shoulders shape with no visible neck beyond a log. When the shape swiveled slightly, the witness backed away and returned quickly to the vehicle, visibly frightened.

Two companions fishing from a canoe at dusk noticed a dark crouched shape on the shoreline about 50 yards away. As they rowed closer the shape stood upright to about seven feet, looked toward them, turned toward a twig-snapping sound behind it, then spun and ran into the forest with further movement sounds heard. After waiting in the canoe, they paddled ashore and found two obscured marks in the sand where it had turned.
Memory told of seeing three large bipeds jogging together in the woods near Rowley
As children searching for a trail to a nearby plaza, the witness and a friend heard a noise and saw three tan-colored, unclothed, upright figures jogging in single file on a ridge above them. The figures were larger than a very large man and moved away at moderate speed during an encounter lasting about 20 seconds. The boys then left the woods quickly and returned to the friend's house.

The witness was on a multi-day winter camping trip with her husband in a remote area. One evening she left the camper to collect ice, felt watched, and hurried back. Later that night while sleeping in the overhead camper bed she awoke to the camper being nudged and heard a deep sniffing sound outside at the level of the sleeping area. Her husband slept through it, and no tracks were found because the snow was packed to ice.
