The group walked back to the truck without running while hearing twigs snapping behind them, and later wondered if they had disturbed the animal while feeding.

The witness was descending from Seneca Rocks on a shortcut and became lost in rough rocky terrain. They heard heavy footsteps and branches cracking, then saw the back of a tall orange-brown haired creature moving uphill about 30 yards away. The creature continued uphill quickly over rocks and disappeared, and the witness returned to the trail to tell family.

Her companion in the passenger seat did not see the figure, reportedly because of dashboard light glare.

Two companions camping with a companion's child heard ape-like calls and slow loud knocks near a creek in the evening and knocked back with logs. Rocks were thrown into camp, and at night something bipedal walked around and brushed the tent while making sniffing sounds at the seams. The activity continued over several days with more distant knocks that seemed to approach, another large rock landing near the witness, and an ice chest found opened.

Late at night the witness and a relative were indoors when they heard monkey-like hooting at the window and noticed vegetation moving outside. The relative went outside with a firearm and saw further movement near the end of the house while the witness heard grunting sounds near another window. The household dog ran to the relative but then whimpered, backed away, and refused to approach the side of the house. After a quiet interval, the two heard only distant noises when they went out again at midnight.

The witness reports standing in a front doorway changing a bulb when a popping sound was heard and cats ran toward them. About a minute later the witness saw a very tall, light-colored, muscular creature walking calmly in the ditch across the highway behind the mailbox. While scouting for deer season the witness found a large woven vegetation igloo and crawled inside. On opening morning he sat 18 feet up in a climber when something came from that area straight to his tree, sniffed deeply below him for 25-30 seconds, then walked away on two legs.

The witness was night fishing with two companions by a fire on a riverbank. After hearing an unusual noise from across the river, the witness saw a very large, hairy figure moving in the dark. When a flashlight was shone on it, the figure quickly disappeared into the woods and was not seen again that night.

The witness returned to the coworker without disclosing the sighting and they finished quickly and left.

Two hunters resting on a brush pile during an archery moose hunt heard whooping vocalizations and chest-beating sounds likened to a zoo gorilla for about an hour. They did not see the source and did not investigate because they were focused on a nearby moose and darkness fell. A young bull moose in the area acted frightened and refused to approach.

They went inside for the night. The next morning they found large barefoot prints in sand behind the cottage that dwarfed an adult man's size-12 foot.

A forest trail worker leveling shale heard rocks clacking nearby and shouted and threw a stone while backing toward a vehicle. The witness then saw a dark brown leg and face of a creature leaning under a fir limb about 20 feet away. The witness left to get crew members, who returned but saw nothing and all left the area because they felt spooked.

The witness was working on a fence near the barn after dark when she heard a disturbance in the nearby woods that sounded like a deer being caught. About half an hour later she heard a loud powerful hollering howl from the woods, then heard it again from the area of the first noise as she prepared to leave. Frightened, she backed an ATV to the house and went inside, hearing nothing further when she returned outside with her husband. She believes the sound matched Bigfoot vocalizations she had heard on television and felt it could not have come from familiar local animals.
